Hot damn, that 1976 cutlass sold to a pilot for :

    Winning bid: US $3,045.95

Not bad for a 28 years old car.

Hi Cooler, that car of yours is as long as a bus. It must weigh at least 2 tons.

funny you've ask taneepak, back then, it is considered mid-size. My original rough guess was 3800 lbs. After some searches, i came across an oldsmobile cutlass owner who tracks his modification and measured changes(performance, weight) directly.

    Vehicle Weight
    4230 lbs (with driver)
4150 lbs (with driver) - dropped the A/C
Mine have no A/C, saves 80 lbs, take off ~150lb for the driver, u have ~4000 lbs, very good guess on your part :). It is 215.2" long.

Hahaha .... I remember driving a 82 Cadillac DeVille and parking (conventional) in a row of Camrys, Corollas, Accord, and Civics ... the DeVille's back stuck out by half-a-car's length! :D

correction, i've found out this guy had upgraded to a bigger engine(7.5L) and transmission(TH400). So real weight of my car should be between 3800 -3900 lbs, not that heavy :)

    My car -

    Peugeot 406 ST sedan
    Stock standard
    2L petrol engine, 139hp. 16v.
Comes with "Intelligent adaptive transmission" but it has low IQs and bit retarded in changing gears
0-100 about 10.5 secs, quater mile even longer. Max out at 200+km but I am too chicken to find out.
Lose out to almost every other car in traffic light grand prix. She's slow alright! :D but very quiet and a great looker! :) Good car for long distances especially those long drives down to country championships.

hahaha, it's not that ancient ayl.;) The small block gm engine (350 cu. inch) is used with no major modification from 1955-1993

Today new Cars aren't much different from my 1976's(car 1 & 2); each still run on internal combustin engine, have 4 hydraulic brakes, 4 tires, 1 steering wheel, etc. My cars are big because those kinds are over designed and I get more steel for the dollar :p and dont have computer module that go retarded :p The major advantages of today cars are fuel injection and better corrosion protection. That's why i will have to give up car #1, succumbed to corrosion, even excess steel don't last forever :( That's where car #3 comes in :)
