It's during the day, right? Hey guys, We are talking about baddy during the day, right? Otherwise it will have to be a late night for me (10 pm onwards). Father-in-law's birthday so can't really skip out early...
Uh oh... I'm hoping for later as my gf wants to shopping during the day playin till after 10pm isn't a problem either for me.... what about the rest?
Re: It's during the day, right? Hmmm... all girl's problem... Hmmm... single is good... no need to ask noone's permission... Sorry to be off topic (well, I always do... )
What time did you want to play? Forget playing the day at VRC, juniors have court priority onwards through to 6p and then there are reserved 3 courts for junior high performance to 7:30p. I might suggest 8p or after. We would certainly stay late enough for WWC to get there. As for father-in-laws, do what I did - piss the hell out of them from the start - never ever have to attend another in-law dinner again! Bwahahahahah!
Re: What time did you want to play? What did you do? Disgracefully hammer him into the floor in badminton?
No problem with next Saturday Just a miscommunication between me and the wife. Father-in-law's birthday is actually this Sat not next...
It's good that you can play late. As badrad says, juniors monopolize the courts for most of the afternoon and so the adults don't show up until after 8pm. Since it's Saturday, everyone generally stays and plays as long as their legs hold up .
Excellent... man, if the rest of these guys are as good as you are when I saw your group play in Kelowna, it'll be fun trying to keep up
This will be a real nice group showing. I'll try to convince mrs. badrad to come as well, although she usually has to work early on Sunday. What time do we all want to meet around there? 15-love - since you've already met txyu in previous tournaments will you be there to greet him, then we'll all find each other as we settle in. 8pm shouldn't be too busy in the club so should be fairly easy to id each other. I think it gets a bit crowded around 9:30 onwards.
I still need to find out where I'm staying....and then I will also need to find my way there....so, once I get my info, i'll post it...otherwise I'm gonna be one very lost badminton player...
Surrey is fairly large city, but if you get access onto any of the main highways (#1, 91 or 99), they will lead you into Vancouver straightforward. Any of us here can offer directions to get to the club, once we get your rough whereabouts.
Hey, Badrad... get Mrs Badrad to come out , that would be great. Mr15Love is injured and can't play but Mrs15Love might come out. How about 830-9 ish?
Whatever time works for everyone is fine with me. However, I too suggest we try to start as close to 8PM as possible. It really does get quite busy around 9:30PM, and with this many people coming out on top of the Saturday night regulars, it might be a mad house .
vrc dress code alert! Oh I forgot to mention - the vrc does have a dress code. TXYU - since you are a guest from Kelowna, you will need to wear appropriate gym wear. For identification purposes our club dress code colours require all out of town guests to wear: 1. non-marking court shoes 2. orange only collared shirts 3. green only shorts 4. blue knee-high socks - although white with red stripes is acceptable 5. warm up track suits MUST be blue 70's style nylon Adidas All the VRC club members - 15-love, timeless, pete_lsd, marky et-al can vouch for this. It is under club rule 5375-63. TXYU - wearing the above will allow us club members to spot you immediately.
Here's the info They live on 30A Avenue 16800 block Surrey Don't know if they are close to anything major that I could use as a landmark for you guys Let me know if this helps and we will go from there
txyu, you can use this site: http://www.mytelus.com/maps/index.jsp Enter in the beginning and the destination address... tells you wut street to turn onto and tells you how long approx it would take to get there cheers!
168 St. + 30 Ave is into the white rock/south surrey area. Your best route is just get onto HWY 99 and drive north until you reach Vancouver. From White Rock you are roughly 40-45 minutes from the club, so it's a bit of a long drive. WWC should be able to give you directions if you are travelling that route, since it passes through Richmond along the way.
