Melicia Kurniawan [as expected] lost to Rachel Hindley... Wifqi-Alfiat won easily... They are in their firs GP semifinals... will face Chen-Lin... Edo-Lingga won game 1 with 21-11, but struggling in game 2 right now... I still think they will meet the MAS veterans tomorrow...
Zhou Mi looked like she didn't even have a warm-up today... just winning the first game 21-17 and she looked like she didn't want to move throughout this game. However, she picked it up and showed her class in the second game though winning effortlessly 21-5. I'll try and take some pictures in the next 2 days. Joe P.
Tommy started off really well in his match against Hsieh, out manoeuvering his opponent with some lovely touches, especially on defence. But his inexperience and lack of stamina showed in the next game where Hsieh took control of the net and attaching more and more since Tommy's game became a lot more predictable. By the 3rd game, Tommy looked spent and Hsieh was just thundering down his big smashes any chance he got. Quite a lot of long good rallies in the first 2 games though, more so than in any other matches I have seen so far in this tournament. Joe P.
2008 New Zealand GP (QF): John Moody/Kate Wilson-Smith made it through to the SF . John Moody/Kate Wilson-Smith defeated Joe Wu/Danielle Barry[4] 21-15, 21-15. How could I forget to pick up the 16 points from them in our PAW Games? .
Yeah, I couldn't believe it when I saw old uncle Soon Kit in the list of participants... Had to see it for myself, but he's still pretty good! We're pretty starved of quality names down here... only the last 3 years since KLRC has gotten involved that we've seen better players competing here. So I guess I'm saying, "Thanks KLRC!" Joe P.
Very well... ..thanks for the info..And yes, we're looking fw to ae86trueno's pics, as well as from others...
