some more suspicious auctions All right, I have been traveling around the N.America and didn't have chance to use internet that often in past few days. Today, I just went to eBay and saw several suspicious auctions by another eBayer, sportsinternational. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3692428290 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3692429474 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3692431386 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3692427447 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3692429819 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3692431593 from the look of his auctions, the price is too ridiculously low, pretty much like $50 USD (and lower) for a AT800, and the CSC cap is not fat enough on the pictures. I personally, don't think those are real ones, they look more like the fakes mentioned from previous auctions. The font of the serials are also not right, the number "3" is way too stylish The payment instruction is even worse, use money transfer via Western union and in that way, you will never get your money back no matter what. PS: Noted that, from his feedback, he have done business with radioheady before, so that might mean something......... could be partnerships?
omg... this is exactly what i got... definitely a fake. i think it's radioheady2000 with different account or some kind of partner. the serial # looks crooked on some of the pics... exactly how it is on the fake racquet i got from radioheady2000. radioheady2000 also lives in hong kong and only accepted western union but i preferred to pay via paypal since i feel more comfortable with paypal so he wanted me to pay the 6% extra fee. and wow... he/she is selling multiple pieces?! he/she must be desperate to get rid of them... this is the auction i won: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=3686929106&ssPageName=STRK:MEWN:IT notice similarities in what is written.
You paid with PayPal??? GREAT!!! Now you can get your money back without contacting that F***ing seller!!! Just submit a PayPal complain, and PayPal will probably give you your money back in couple days. GL!
Man, all these fakes are making me sick to my stomach. People shouldn't be cheated on eBay, especially people who are new to our sport and just want to get a good racquet at a decent price. It seems to me that radioheady2000 and sportsinternational are partners or even the same person. I actually emailed radioheady2000 before and her information to me was very suspicious so I didn't deal with her. I would difinitely conclude that sportsinternational is trying to liquidate the fake stock and it makes sense that they are one and the same (or partners), since radioheady2000 had previously indicated she had 30 pieces of at800 and at300. Man this sucks. Can't we do anything? Maybe we should email the bidders and let them know they are bidding on fake racquets? pandee720, I really feel for you. Hope you can get some of your money back from eBay or Paypal. Seeing at this, I've pretty much resolved to get all my racquets from reputable Yonex dealers.
There were 2 occasions i notify bidders but they never reply to my mails. It's a shame that people are using Ebay to sell fakes.
Not really, if you look at Paypal's buyer's protection policy carefully, it would only protect users with: --------------------------------------------- 1.The seller's eBay feedback rating is at least 50; 2.At least 98% of the seller's eBay feedback is positive; 3.The seller is a member of PayPal in one of the following countries: U.S. Canada Germany U.K. 4.The seller has a Verified Premier or Business PayPal account; 5.The seller's PayPal account is in good standing. ------------------------------------------------- as seen in here: http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/ua/policy_pbp-outside So, if you deal with people in Asia, you will NOT get your money back via PayPal. Isn't that sucks?
I know! but there are just way too many people who bid at last minute, so there is no way to notify all the people that it is a fake....... **sigh** (Plus, people might think they got spammed and report to ebay if I contact them.....so I didn't bother)
Good guess and I agree. Maybe they read our posts, and decide to get rid of the stock asap, therefore, you see all the "package deals".
My friend just bought a AT-800 clone racquet in the flea market for $10 dollar. That means the cost of the clone racquets should be less than $10 each. If this guy can sell 80 racquets for $100 each at ebay, he is making $7200. Too bad.
another suspicious one http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3692429474&rd=1&tc=photo this one looks very suspicious as well. especially this following line TO ALL BIDDERS: I CAN ONLY ACCEPT WESTERN UNION MONEY TRANSER, NO PAYPAL OR MONEY ORDER PLEASE~~ BECAUSE I CANNOT PROVIDE ON-LINE TRACKABLE SHIPPING WITH ADDRESS INDICATE ON SCREEN, IN WHICH PAYPAL DOES NOT PROTECT SELLER IN THIS CASE. THE SHIPPING SERVICE I PROVIDE IS EMS SPEED POST, DELIVERY TIME IS 7 DAYS, IN WHICH BUYER CAN TRACK ON WWW.HONGKONGPOST.COM, IT ONLY INDICATE THAT THE PARCEL IS ON ITS WAY TO ITS DESTINATION AND DATE OF SENDING.
the counterfeit market in the US is about $200 billion / year, and rising. http://www.badmintonforum.com/vb/showthread.php?t=14527&page=3&highlight=counterfeit
Just a suggestion, maybe we should have a listing of members of ebay that we know are selling genuine articles on bf, such as yourself.....
