eBay cares about fake items, but it is hard for a regular person to see if the racquet is fake or not (if this person never seen the real ones before), so they would most likely do nothing about it. And since Yonex, Inc is NOT participated in the VeRo Program, there is no way to stop fakes selling on ebay at this moment. The best I can do is to post information here in this thread, and hopefully people would see it......
This seller has a good feedback rating (98%). I wonder if he has sold racquets before? Maybe he doesn't know its a fake? (Unlikely, I think). I think in many cases, the buyers are unaware that they are buying a fake and when they receive the racquets, it all looks good. They are happy with the purchase and give a good feedback rating. It would seem that if someone was a diligent badminton buyer, they would do the research to find out what distinguishes fakes from real racquets. It's good that we have a forum and BFers here to help in that regard.
Another MP300!?. This one even has serial number. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=2919&item=3689855839&rd=1
Iso 800 tour http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/ebayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=3689629651 the seller said: Sorry, there is no serial number on the shaft nor the cone. There is a set of numbers on the bottom of the handle (15065, 19065). To me, these rackets are collector items since it have the 'Atlanta 1996 Olympic' stamped on the cone.
**Sigh** Each fake AT800 OF and DE racquets have many people bidding on it already, I guess people will have to learn in the hard way......
http://feedback.ebay.com/ws1/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback&userid=radioheady2000 Just beware that radioheady2000 is no longer registered. Hopefully nobody got screwed over!!
From his feedback, someone bought six racquets from him but never receive them (reason is unknown, perhaps too scared to ship fakes out? ) .....that's a big loss!!
Mayb its the Seller's Way to make people believe that its real, by have their Friend's or somthing bidding, so then people will be more interested in it, therefore, will believe its the real thing.
if you want to report a fake racquet on sale on eBay. here is the link. http://pages.ebay.com/help/contact_...+policy+violation+or+prohibited+(banned)+item click on the e-mail link on that page to report fakes. eBay will pull the ads and they will keep an eye on the sellers activities. As it violates eBay User Agreement for people to sell fakes.
I just looked, and that fake AT800 ended up with $130 USD, which will probably make the buyer to freak out if he/she found out what it really is.......
Well, the buyer only freaked out if s/he found out the truth (i.e. reading this thread). Otherwise, s/he might actually be very happy and showing off this to friends about "such a great deal"... Well, truth hurts, sometimes...
did anyone get their racquets from radioheady2000? or did you complain? did you get your money back after complaining?
You will only get the total amount - $25 ebay complaining fee back. So, if you sent $100 to him, you will only get $75 back......that's the ebay rule.
well at least u got something back, better than nothing. especially for the guy who buy 6 rackets and never received them.
