Re: I'm using a as-1 right now i can't wait to get the new rasmussen airblade tour, i've been using my as-1 for close to 5 years and it's only my third raquet, i've been playing with carlton for a long time now. except for my first raquet which was one of those 5.99 specials at k-mart. my second one was a carlton it was a fine raquet although pretty ghetto to our standards today, with a aluminum carbon graphite shaft and aluminum frame and had the old carlton logo. then along came my as-1 which is a kickass raquet as far as i'm concerned, my bro uses a old rasmussen airblade, and both of our raquets are still better than most yonex raquets that all of our friends use. right now i'm just a pure carlton enthusiast my bro and myself and one other friend of mine are the only ones in my entire school fro kindergarden to 12th grade that uses a carlton. once i get my new rasmussen airblade tour i'm gonna put my as-1 into retirement.
my Rasmussen Tour is 6000 miles away in my bedroom at home. I only got to use it twice before i came on holiday. I was hoping I'd be able to pick one up in the US to use while i'm here but all the shops here seem to think it'll be a couple of months before they get them in stock. How come the US gets carlton stuff so late?
In HK, Carlton is extremely difficult to find. Especially the high-end model such as Carlton AB Rasmussen Tour. I've heard many buddies in various thread give Carlton rackets a credit. Any ppl know where I can find this racket? BTW, the naming of Carlton racket is a little bit strange. In what sense they name a racket 'Rasmussen Tour' but Rasmussen himself doesn't use it (He uses MP99 and like it very much.)?
The carlton racquet is endorsed by Peter Rasmussen who plays singles, and not whom I guess you are referring to, Jonas Rasmussen Rasmussen seems like a pretty common name in Denmark, like Cheung/Chang/Zhang in HK
Even Cheung, Chang and Zhang are the same in Chinese. But Cheung came from HK, Chang came from Taiwan and Zhang came from Mainland China.
