Yes.. ..i've seen Tony played MS before. As a matter of fact, he reached the Final Rd. of the 2005 OCBC/Yonex International only to lose to a player, much better and younger than him, from Chinese Taipei. Yes, Tony is not too bad @ playing MS. http://tournamentsoftware.com/sport/draw.aspx?id=44E2D41C-BFE3-4545-96DD-3C48E70FB439&draw=1 He also attempted to play MS in the 2004 U.S. Open, but lost very early. I've also seen Halim play MS, but only during training/practice session. Not bad also, but doubt he could last the distance if he actually plays MS.
ctjcad, that is interesting and funny, thank you... would pay to see this kind of stuff rather than LD vs LCW
Actually Yonex has requested Taufika nd Flandy to US Open...Flandy depends on Anastasia if she can get US visa on time which he doubted it as Anastasia will be coming to Jakarta by end of the month to practice with Flandy and will participate Singapore Open, Indonesia Open and Malaysia Open...
Come on cooler, open up your substantial wallet and make LD an offer he can't refuse . Or maybe that person that won the $49M can help out
when i open up my wallet all i see is a substantial big hole. the 649 pot of 49M was won by 13 ladies u have their numbers?
honestly speaking, if i know mandarin, i would really ask him (and xxf) to come to canada for a visit
Off topic-Of course.. ..well, from what i saw & remember of Tony playing Singles, for his level playing at such age (29/30 y.o), reaching the Final and playing in 2 events is pretty darn good. However, the Taiwanese player was just so much stronger, quicker, faster, more fit and of course younger.
ya, it explains why LD avoided INA Open. LD is generous and let TH be the badminton king in his home base.
THL clothing line... Yes, Taufik will indeed go to the US. He plans to help market his new THL (Taufik Hidayat Line) clothes... Designed by his wife and jointly marketed with Yonex... Visitors to the INA Open will be the first to purchase this THL line...
In Rupiah It's only Rp. 149000. I myself bought five last week in istora for friends in LA. I don't know how much they'll be sold for in Los Angeles. I will let you all know when he comes to LA two weeks from now.
Hmm.. ..hopefully they'll maintain the same price as during the Indonesia Open. After all, the U.S./California economy is in a recession and we could enjoy the same prices.. Btw, Rp. 149000 is equal to around US$15. ..not that i'm aware of. But the THL is not done yet. I heard there will be a 2nd wave of THL collection coming in the upcoming World Championships. And that 2nd wave collection will feature more products like shoes and bags.
He told me that someone did bring it to US OPen...not sure they will retail sa US$ 15 but US$ 20 or $25 ( remember that they have to pay taxes, etc plus sales tax).....
