ZQX was the problem early. XH was tired from the first match and was not sharp enough to provide support. Credit to ZQX for turning it around and XH got her second wind and played better towards to end. XH switched from forehand service to backhand service but probably wise to stick with the flick rather than trying low serve. Japan seems to have some good pairs other than the usual suspects. Hope they get their chance too.
Had the CHN WD pair continued the wrong strategy of mostly lifting and defending the JPN attacks all the way to a two straight sets defeat, they would probably be dejected for quite a while, I imagine.
Japan has a very bright future in badminton for sure. more promising players coming out of Japan than many other traditionally strong badminton countries.
so much pressure is applied right from the start of every rally. hard for the Chinese youngsters to even realize what happened to them and the shuttle is on the ground or their body already.
