Welcome onboard Lie! What took you so long? I had a wonderful time during the Manila SEA Games and met some of your countrymen through our good Malaysian friend ants. Hope to see more of you here.
BadFever, Kim and kong-19 met again at our CCCBadminton Hey Loh, Just on Monday 6-Nov-2006, and Wednesday 8-Nov-2006, of this week, I had a few games with kong-19 who is visiting Melbourne. Last night, BadFever, Kim and kong-19 met again at our CCCBadminton@Waverley. Cheers... chris@ccc
Oh that's great! Good that the Commonwealth folks are having a sort of a reunion, but what about Hagen? Of course I don't expect Maz to come down to Melbourne although kong-19 from Brisbane is not far from Maz's Sydney. Of course, our lady Adelina from NZ and FEND from Perth are not expected to be there too. Mr Chan keeps a rather low profile in our BC Forum and we hardly hear from him. Nice to know he is keeping well and thanks for letting me know. Apart from BadFever, Kim hardly makes his presence felt here either. However, I'm sure he must now be gainfully employed and enjoying badminton with you folks. So too is Adelina who is back to his corporate law pursuits, I understand. But you'll never know when she'll pack up and travel the world again. Please say hi to our good friends for me. BTW, hope you guys can come down to KL for the World Championships next year. Please make advanced plans. Cheers! Loh
Hi Lie, Glad you decided to post, it would be good to see your pictures of KKK if you can upload them. You are very welcome in this forum, it's always nice to have new members and make new friends. I'll keep an eye out for your future posts. Best wishes, Alaric
Hi Loh, I'm taking 2 weeks off work for the Youth Olympics in Sydney in January...Anyone coming for that event? Now that you've brought up that the World Champs is in KL, I'm thinking of going there (there goes the rest of my annual leave!) and take the opportunity to visit relatives and friends! Maz
Hi Maz, How nice to hear from you! Frankly, this is the first time I've heard of the Youth Olympics. How nice to be spending 2 weeks to enjoy the show. Are you involved with the badminton competition which I presume must be one of the events. I'm not sure about visiting Sydney for the YO but I think quite a number of BC members are targetting for the Beijing Olympics 2008. Yes it's high time you visit our shores again. Maybe Adelina, BadFever, Chan, Kim and FEND, and even Chris should consider coming to KL too since they all have Malaysian origins. I'm sure our Malaysian BC friends will give us a grand reception. Ants must return from Manila to spearhead the arrangements. How about it ants or your good friend, Terry? Look forward to seeing you all!
AHhah... added pressure Loh... anyway i will be back in KL in DEC. Will discuss the details with Terry and Loosai. I'm not sure about a Grand Reception though... hehehe...
Ants, Terry and Loosai, please make it a most memorable one for all our BC friends, especially those willing to converge in KL from faraway. Maybe kwun, Cheung, Mag and our mod from UK may decide to turn up!
If there is a grand reception or Grand gathering.. i think those who want to attend might have to pay. At least for the food and the cost of preparation for the "event". I might include some surprises too.. u never know hehhe...
That's a fantastic idea.A BC gathering in KL during the 2007 World Championship.Have it somewhere near Bukit Jalil and I will be glad to pay for it.Most important of all we may meet fellow BC members and talk about the sport we all love.If possible we may also invite Malaysia's past badminton greats like Yee Khan,Boon Bee,Aik Huang,Punch Gunalan and others. What a dreamer I am?Maybe some good BC member in KL may organise this gathering.
when is my turn to take picture v malaysia player especially wong choong hann (my idol)...i'm so jealous!
Since this is in support of world badminton, how about getting your powerful friend, BWF Dep. President, to arrange for some sponsors, if need be. KL is now the Mecca for world badminton and Punch happens to be Malaysian too. And now you have a fanatical BC group of badminton lovers from all over the world willing to converge in KL to support the WC, Mr Gunalan would be as pleased as Punch to give you his total support. And as suggested by Kokcheng, having former Malaysian badminton greats around to grace the occasion and to take pics with us will make our BC friends' trip all the more satisfying! To cajole them into action, including Punch, by playing some games with us will fulfil many of our dreams.
Now you get it! Remember your name has been mentioned earlier, together with the other of your Melbourne Commonwealth Games friends. You may have to work during your uni vacation to earn the trip to KL, but do consider what you'll be able to reap at the end of it all, if you trust what ants and his badminton friends can provide - the "Grand BC Gathering in KL".
I dare not to promise anything yet. However i do have in mind of having a gathering. But not a Grand thing yet.
Good to hear from you Kim! I know you all will come. Chris may have some problems with his coaching schedule, but it'll be good to have him too. Already Maz said she'll probably be able to make it, FEND's heart tells him he has to be in KL with us, but Adelina is still keeping mum. Boy! it's going to be some reunion! Now, it is left to ants (and good friend Punch) and his BC friends whether they're going to disappoint us! Now if Kwun, Cheung et all, decide to come too, ants probably will try his best not to.
Punch in definately on his toes as i'm sure alot of the BC fellas will bombard him with many Qs regarding the NSS. ehhehe
