Hmm, just by looking at the 2 groups, it looks like Group A seems like the "group of death"-hehe, with Candra/Sigit, Fu/Cai, Sang Yang/Zheng Bo and the Malaysian vets battling it out.
In Group B, looks like it's going to be Jens/Martin against Tony/Howard(not to underestimate the other pairs in this group though)... :p :)
On that note, if everything goes as planned, I'm intrigue and looking forward to see a rematch between Candra/Sigit against Tony/Howard.. :p
Can someone familiar with this event explain how the draws will be played out??Is it a round robin system or elimination or something else??..

BTW, does anyone have any info if Tony/Howard will travel and participate in the upcoming Copenhagen Masters, i believe a week after this World Cup tournament has ended??..

Wei/Zhao and Zhang/Zhang split up probably because they havent done pretty good this year. They havent won any titles this year. Although it was a very good standard for other countries where both of the pair in top 10, it probaby not enough high standard for the Chinese. So they split them up and hoping they will play better.

Do not be too sure on your forecasts as keep in mind this is a 21 points rally game. It's a totally different game as played before. For example, you cannot be down (left behind) at first and picking it up at the end, just very rare. Secondly, you could not afford to make any careless mistakes. Each rally counts as you don't lose your service but you will lose a point.

So be surprise that there may be a very un-natural upsets.

I thought Zhang Dan/Zhang Yawen won 1 title this year in Singapore Open...if I am not mistaken.....they beat Gao Ling/Huang Sui.

Huang Sui will not play in WD....so sad....but will she play in XD...coz I saw Zhao Tingting paired with Zheng Bo...
