Kenneth struggled against the Indian player? Does not look good for his match against Lee HI. However, he is a player with good endurance!
We'll see for Jonassen, but Lee HI seems on rather good form at the moment! Lee CW 's win on Kaldau is also quite impressive (15-7 15-3) ... and Ra&Lee seem to really have found the weakness of Wei&Zhao with two very easy wins in a row!! (unless this is due to Zhao TT 's recent bad form)
Refer to http://195.102.4.163:81/Portal/desktopdefault.aspx?tabid=10&ItemID=1305 The second last para states "Chen Hong face teammate Wu YY in a rematch of the Indonesian Open final from Sunday..." Did these 2 Chinese ever meet in any stage at Batam? Or the author was referring to the Chinese team training matches in Batam?
MD (2nd round) : Paaske&Rasmussen bt Yim&Kim 15-10 17-15 Fu&Cai bt Llopis&Crespo 15-9 15-3 Robertson&Clark bt Hopp&Tesche 15-4 15-4 Haryanto&Budiarto bt Kidho&Setiawan 15-13 15-6 Lee&Kim bt Liu&Njoto 10-15 15-4 15-11 Laybourn&Steffensen bt Lamp&Boe 8-15 15-12 15-10 Choong&Lee vs Cheng&Chen 6-15 15-4 15-2 Luluk&Alven bt Wijaya&Haryanto 15-10 15-6
It's great to see Choong/Lee beating another Chinese pair. Hope they don't crumble against another young Indonesian pair. Judging from the results so far, they are likely to regain their national no 1 status in next week's world ranking list!
1st major victory for Ra & Lee and chinese pairs dated back in WC. With the fact chinese players went to deep rounds in almost all the past tournies in the past 1.5 month, guess stamina really playing its role now. Wondering whether this also applies for MD. With the fact of early exists of team mates, guess the remaining chinese players will face tough match up later on. So far, chinese "army" lost the most when comparing to the earlier tournies due to injury, performance, "internal match", etc.
