Or that is why they need more shouts of boleh. When the ship is sinking shouting more bolehs might just refloat it back again.
maybe you guys miss one of the item that uses our money........ please do not ignore your income tax submission and payment. Thursday December 11, 2008 Putrajaya Holdings gets RM4.15mil a year for Seri Perdana Reports by LEE YUK PENG, LOH FOON FONG and ZULKIFLI ABDUL RAHMAN THE Government pays Putrajaya Holdings RM4.15mil a year for the rental of Seri Perdana, the official residence of the Prime Minister. Another RM2.74mil a year is paid for the rental of the Deputy Prime Minister’s official residence known as Seri Satria. Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi, in a written reply to Liew Chin Tong (DAP – Bukit Bendera), said the rent for both premises were paid quarterly to Putrajaya Holdings. Liew had asked about the total rental paid to Putrajaya Holdings as well as costs for maintaining both residences. Abdullah said the maintenance costs for Seri Perdana is RM158,051.40 a month or RM1.89mil a year while that for Seri Satria is RM94,166 a month or RM1.13mil a year. from: http://thestar.com.my/news/story.asp?file=/2008/12/11/parliament/2774433&sec=parliament RM250k per month just for he maintenance!! if i recall correctly, building cost for PMR is some where RM15mil. can rent at RM4mil ++ per year. i am not so good on calculation for profit. can i build a RM500k building and rent it at RM150k per year?? and charge RM5k for maintenance each month??
That's truly Malaysia Boleh. See, anything relates to government sure very expensive in the terms of cost and maintenance. Remember the cost of maintenance of Proton Perdana, as claimed by a MB and his team? That is ridiculous. And now, Putrajaya story. I wonder what to maintain in that particular buildings that hv to spend over a million a year? Try ask who's those jokers behind Putrajaya Holdings........... HIDUP MALAYSIA. MALAYSIA BOLEH!!
That is why every country needs to have some checks and balances, and the best way to do this in the modern era is a free press which now includes the internet and the emergence of bloggers. The written and broadcasting mass media can be controlled by the government to a large extent, but the opposition in parliament and the modern internet have a very important role to play to check some of these abuse of power.
googling around, still cant find any exact figure to build Sri Perdana. http://www.malaysiakini.com/news/43373 some said to be RM200mil, some said RM15mil, some said RM25mil. whatever it is, it will not less than RM50mil, as per i can see it.
The moral is do not trust anyone in power where there are no checks and balances against abuse of power. Power corrupts; absolute power corrupts absolutely. Look no further than the fiasco in Illinois where the governor has the authority to appoint a candidate to replace a vacant senator's post. With such an absolute power to appoint any person to such a high prized seat, I am not surprised it has turned into a bidding game for the highest price the governor can get. So it is with any government. Even schools, churches, charitable organizations, so-called disaster relief organizations, and other "untouchable" hands-off organizations are not immune to corruption. The new internet is by far the most powerful tool to check on any wrong doing.
Hendrawan jealous of MAS Boleh Hendrawan can’t help but envy the support that badminton gets here INDONESIAN coach Hendrawan cannot help but envy Malaysia as far as the government’s support for badminton is concerned. Indonesian shuttlers have, since last month, been forced to leave the national training centre and rejoin their respective clubs due to financial difficulties. The All-Indonesia Badminton Association (PBSI) do not have the money to pay for the players’ meals and accommodation. The players will report for centralised training in January but will have to find their own sponsors if they want to compete in the Malaysian and Korean Opens next month. In fact, the PBSI did not send any of their coaches for the ongoing Super Series Masters Finals in Kota Kinabalu. The PBSI are still negotiating with Yonex about contract renewal. Hendrawan’s trip was paid for by his sponsors. Hendrawan hopes that the Indonesian government would be more supportive of the sport. “This is a time of transition in Indonesia. We have a new president — Dgjoko Santoso. Only selected players will report for centralised training in January,” said Hendrawan. “I heard the Malaysian government are planning to set up a new multi-million training centre. And here (in Indonesia), we are struggling financially,” said Hendrawan.
it is a sad thing for INA badminton players. too many serious crisis in the country that need more attention than badminton. hope the multi million training centre in MAS will do the job that it meant to be. not again, to be a white elephant in the future.
