what is your reason for giving a 25% LD gives a walkover? You think LD was really injured or he is going to get injured?
What is your reason for giving a 25% LD gives a walkover? . LD said he was injured (last week), and I am guessing that he won't have enough time to recover on time. .
. OK, revise my guesses; * 50%: LCW to win * 25%: LD to win * 25%: LD to retire half way But I see many PAWers selecting LD to win. .
If that is so, LD can never lose. When the former 25% comes his way, he takes the USD90k and happily be declared the winner. And when his chips are down, he can use the other 25% chance you guys gave him to declare he is not fit to play further. Despite being given double the chance of LD to win.... looks like LCW cant be the real winner, sigh......... LD has a 25% win compared to LCW 50%
Would he be happy to let LCW wallop that USD90k and he himself take the much smaller amount for runner up? not forgetting the 60% cut on top of that smaller prize?
In terms of prize money, both LCW and LD are winners . I am not quite clear what was meant in the post. Just 4 hours ago, I was disappointed for Li Na for not winning our 2011 Australian (Tennis) Open WS title. But she was so happy; that she had won $1,000,000 in prize money for being runner-up. Therefore, in terms of prize money, both LCW and LD are winners. .
Unfortunately Lee Chong Wei's journey ended tonight at the Korean Open, but he gave spectacular performances and destroyed basically all his opponents this year barring the legend Lin Dan. He is still doing extremely, it is just very unfortunate for him to be playing so well in the same timeline as a super level Lin Dan. Nevertheless he should be proud that he is still world no. 1
I think he must try harder to beat Lin Dan. It is simply not enough to be just the World no 1. He had just wasted a very very good chance this time. He had better improve further or work even harder the next time around and he must do it fast..................... before LD decides to call it a day............. He must beat Lin Dan on a regular basis to be real World No 1, no two ways about it!
Listing LCW's matches and scores since the start of this year (2011) . The 2011 Korea Open Premier Super Series tournament completed with Lin Dan defeating Lee Chong Wei on Finals Day. Many said it was a great match. Congratulations to Lin Dan !!! Although LCW lost, he ought to be congratulated; as he is still the most consistent Mens Singles winner since the start of this year. What kind of world no 1 is this? Although LCW is considered as the most consistent Mens Singles player in the world (World MS No.1), it baffles me to read post such like this one; The injured player referred to is Lin Dan. And I just couldn't believe that alexyong is telling LCW to quit Badminton. .
thanks and congrats to both players: 1. for giving us an hour plus baddy entertainment; and 2. for showing great displays of determination... LCW, IMO kinda lost it in the last few points during the third set, making errors... regardless, they both are great players but LD held the extra on the day and won. Congrats. Nevertheless, LCW didn't seems as disappointed on TV as before whenever he lost to LD... perhaps he care less now of the defeat... Stay strong LCW cos there'll be another time for this epic battle between the both of you and we sure won't be missing any of it. Take a good rest for Chinese New Year and I will take off the whole of February (need to rest and refresh my eyes and mind ^^)... and Happy Chinese New Year to all BCers who's celebrating.
posted earlier on the other thread: i always believe that LCW is as good as LD. what LCW needed is a good coach(s) to bring the best out of him both in major t'ments and particularly against LD. MS is not good enough as the results shown time and time again. isn't it ironically that LCW probably had one of his best match against LD without MS at courtside?
I would suggest not answering this question as it is very subjective and well known that it is linked to politicians. For the sake of peace ,let's avoid further discussion as there will be heated responses, you will find the answer in other threads. As a matter of interest can you suggest a good coach, we have already gotten rid of the best available years ago.
What is meant by a good coach? LCW I think is at the level where he can teach himself. But when it comes to courtside analysis ,if you watch Astro , ex-england coach Ian Wright can answer all the questions everyone raised , from tactics, fitness, mind games ,court conditions etc. etc. In fact even Gillian can predict how LD is going to play the 1 st set, 2nd, last and the final points etc. etc. I bet even TSB can do it.
I thought this has been discussed before Unless you have something new we don't know like who is the coach you have in mind that will turn him around And if you have his or even her name why don't you post here? Or you know better than misbun what exactly are lcw's weaknesses .. I am sure a lot of us here are / were looking for that too
Chris, do you see what I see here? Lcw should be happy overall this year He has narrowed all his opponent with potential threat to him to just one So it should be goods news in the long run, say until London 2012
err i think you forgot a couple.... he still has yet to meet sonny duo kuncoro and simon santoso.. and at least beating them at regular basis
