Cheam June Wei's performance is going downhill after he was released by BAM. I saw his match and it was not good. His footwork is sluggish and heavy, shot quality too low, and mental too easy to give up. It's like CJW was playing with no strategy or plan. Other BAM MS backup are too mediocre, below average performance. Ong Zhen Yi (completely average), Shaqeem (Mental weak), Ong Ken Yon (another world-level of easy errors) disappoints me. Only Leong Jun Hao and Aidil Sholeh have potential to go higher, just by looking at their quality and movement around the court. The others are just waiting to be cut by BAM.

Their recent results is promising to be honest. AS won an International Challenge title and lose in WT100 SF. News stated that he recent started focusing on mentality during training. While LJH just came back from an injury and reach final in WT100. Should be in top 32 by next year.
Justin Hoh still in top 80 after months of not competing. His latest tournament should be in India in November, as long as he is medically cleared. Plenty of chance to catch up.
Yes! I read he's coming back first thing next year. Doctor cleared him to be from november. Return to Training and everything, yeah next year. I do notice an improvement between those 2 as you said recently. To be fair, malaysians have always been late bloomers. But i am skeptical

Good win for LJH. Should be a good booster for target of Top32 by next year. With this, he will be able to participate in more WT100+ tournaments.

MAS environment too nonsensical and lax. No fighting hard for nation like Japan mentality. Lost then can take vacation, eat good. As long as mentality not right, MAS will go backward. No quality control.
Justin Hoh finally cleared to go to competition. First tournament is Syed Modi WT300, but unlucky will have to meet Leong Jun Hao in the first round. It's a good opportunity to get some feelings back.
Man, it's good to see Justin Hoh playing again! This time beating Leong Jun Hao in straight game 21-13, 21-17. His fast-pace shots and attacking game is just delightful to watch. You can definitely see him training his body well during the recovery period, it looks like he have muscles now on his arm. He is completely overwhelming LJH in attacking game and placement. What's up with LJH anyway, losing to an opponent who just returned after a long hiatus? Not only that, LJH play style is just like usual - relax in G1, try to comeback in G2 with his net touch completely gone. Why does MAS player have this outdated Relax-Style game? It's already 2023 and they're still playing like late 90s.
I'm changing my mind on Aidil Sholeh. He's already over. Loser mentality, lazy, and not willing to work hard to win. Not even interested to watch him play anymore after watching him in Syed Modi tournament. He's still trying to win a match in 2023 just by clearing + lifting + drop.
He's a stroke player with a non-existent attack, without the speed and defence required to be a stroke player.
