Does paint affects the performance of the string?

    Sorry for digging up this old 'dead' thread.
    The question is still the same as in the thread title.

    For example:I play with NBG98 and when you feel the string with your fingers, the string feels quite slippery. If there is paint/ink on the string when buying a new racket with this string, the strings doesn't feel as slippery as without ink.
    So - is it just the feeling for the fingers (that it's not that slippery), or does the ink really makes the string a bit rougher?
    (I can't test the difference at this moment because I don't have any ink at home or on my strings). Maybe one of you have spectated this before?

    I always put stencil ink on my racket and seriously I don't find any difference with the one without stencil ink.
