quite disappointed by Lee, 2nd game he was just strolling around the park with little fighting spirit. he was hardly chasing after Lin's smashes anymore. just stood there and got butchered into 15-2.

But the Koreans had said it before. The TC is not their priority cuz they never excel in it. Maybe Lee Hyun Ill was thinking "It will be a waste of energy to chase after the shuttlecock. I'll never catch up anyway"

Yea, he did the same thing against Thailand too. So did Roslin against Taufik. And Sony against Lin Dan. And Taufik against Bao.

Where have all the spirit gone?

Can you imagine the mental impact of having your opponent fight from 9-2 down to win the match on you?

I've been in that situation, and got blown out the next set. :p

Lee did what he could in the first game... but Lin Dan just overwhelmed him.

I think Mag was right... he was still warming up LOL

That really ticks me off. I don't get it. What's an army salute got to do in a badminton arena? It's just disturbing, it's so... I don't know... Cold War, somehow.

but as far as we can tell, LeeHI's point is very important. he was one of the deciding factor as KOR does have a chance to win the tie against China.

but with that spirit, he just about gave it up for KOR....

super lin is simply amazing.. so composed.. he didnt start well, making 4 continous unforced errors, sending the birdie to the net, and lee rallied to quick 5-0 lead...

all lin's effort of smashing and dropping were returned by lee hyun il who played very well, the score 8-0.. then lin dan changed his pace, slowed down and went for long rally, i think this disrupted lee hyun il's momentum and the tide is turned.. lin settled down and at 4-9, he started playing his game again, with good combination of smashes.. thts smart playing, and why lin dan deserves to be there...

statistically, after lee hs taken an 8-0 lead, lin dan has outscored lee hyun il by 30-5.. simply amazing....

    ok.. back to the tv...

This next doubles match will hopefully be more exciting. lol

I dont like washouts like that last set was :(

You guys are right about not having fighting spirit, and just giving the match to your opponent, rather disappointing.

yeah. totally, it is like Lin found out how to switch to a higher gear, switched, and then floor the accelerator. he was so fast and sharp smashing in the second set.

    0-0 on 1st doubles.

the key is to pressure Lee, which Fu/Cai are doing now.

He's not in the army when on court. I find it offensive (but then again I was in court for refusing military service for pacifistic reasons, so I'm a bit allergic to that stuff). But enough of that, sorry for rambling, there's a match going on!
