I actually like this malaysian pair playing style compared to aaron/soh, but they're too error prone especially tee.
2nd SS final for ManTee i believe. Are they going to follow AaronSoh… Still waiting for Malaysia Superseries winner in 5 years…
On the other hand, 3rd Superseries title for AstrupRasmusen. Wow. They are joint leader for the titles. Even though its all S500 and limited comp in Canada and here, you actually have to win t to earn it. I guess its the benefits of more S500+ tournaments these days.
Astrup/Rasmussen gaining second wind in their careers. Positively capitalising on any smaller tournaments without Koreans and the Chinese.
A sigh of relief for lzj. At least he won something and got his confidence back and also managed to shut out the haters.
Han Yue, what a fighter she must be. I thought watching the livescore when she was one game down and trailing for most of G2, 10-15 or something, that she's a goner. But when I next looked at the score, she came back to equalize and even went on to beat Wang Zhiyi decisively in the decider for the title, 16-21, 22-20, 21-12. No wonder she was fielded as WS3 for the Asian Games team final in place of WZY, the CHN coaches obviously had more confidence in her than the not-so-reliable WZY who didn't do particularly well in previous team championships. Han Yue overcoming Chochuwong Pornpawee yesterday, TTY's conqueror, in two straight sets should be commendable too, albeit a tight affair, 24-22, 21-19. WD Liu Sheng Shu/Tan Ning's road to the final winning the championship was remarkable, beating the likes of the JPN 1st seed, the Thai 2nd and 4th seeds as well as the rest , all in two convincing straight sets. Should expect this young CHN pair to break into the top 10 very soon.
