RE: really? Anyways the spinning serve is nowadays illegal and this rule about hitting the shuttle's base was introduced back in the 80's with the purpose to eliminate it. Many experts considered this technique not beneficial to the game of badminton. Here is a good place to share our personal experiences and views on badminton. As for myself I like to come to this forum to read other people's experiences in order to broaden my little knowledge (if it can be called knowledge) about this sport.
