It was one of the shops on the 3rd floor (Ranking Sports?) at the Bras Basah Complex. I bought them without string and strung them myself after I got back. I noticed the shop at the ground floor, stringing there was done by amatures, looked way off my league. Thanks for the tip of not stringing there. I was not impressed by all four shops (3 in the complex) I visited on their technique of stringing, frankly. Your guys in Singapore need to be more selective about where to get your rackets strung and by whom. Otherwise, all the benefits of having top range rackets will be diminished. Another thing, don't forget to get some cash handy if you want to buy things there, credit card is no good.
Lao Liu, actually, I don't know whats your definition of good stringing technique or are you referring to good stringing equipment? For that matter, actually the 2 shops on the ground floor have better stringing techinique than the other 2 on the 3rd floor. My guess is that " I was not impressed by all four shops (3 in the complex) I visited on their technique of stringing, frankly. " meant minimalist equipment ? Or do you mean you actually spent the time to watch them do stringing? Please do not equate quality of stringing with quantity of equipment used. I have visted shops which have expensive computer controlled stringing machines and their strings sucked big time after I strung them ... and it lasted only half as long as my regular one which uses the 'normal' hand pull machines. Am I correct on my guess ?

Queensway Shopping Centre 1 Queensway Singapore 149053 I usually re-strung at the third floor, I cant remember the shop but may be u can see the ad - yonex , the owner is kind, and strung done by himself. anyone recommend a good shop for stringging in queensway?? thanks
how much does these rackets costs at bras brasah and at queenway? are they the cheapest place to get rackets? Armortec 700(new)? Armortec 900-Power? Also, isit reliable to buy at these places?(do they sell all genuine stuff?) Thanks
the thread is 7 years old ........ someone dig it ..... in Singapore, could you let me know which shop sells NON genuine Yonex stuff ?
Actually, I saw some posts in this forum that mentioned that some shops do sell fake racquets in singapore. That got me worried.
hi there guys... just want to know if bras basah complex and queenway are still the cheapest place to get quality rackets? just want to know cause i've got a friend heading over soon to buy some
Can we all shift to the price checklist thread instead. I think most questions are already answered there.
I would say it is cheaper @ queensway as compared to the Yonex shop @ Bras Barsah Shopping Complex (level one)
ranking sports at the 3rd floor or bras bersah suxs..i asked for my racket to be strung at 24lbs n they gave me 22lbs.. the yonex shop at the ground floor is gd!
sorry to bring an old thread back up, but I am visiting singapore soon and was wondering which shops to go for nowadays?
It's definitely worth a visit to Queensway Shopping Centre where there are at least 3 shops selling badminton stuffs and plenty of other sports equipments stalls for u to walk around....other badminton shops are normally by itself and nothing more to see
