M/Q Report version 1 (23rd December 2015) : http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=684266&dl=1 DRAW date : 5th January 2016 Overall, it's similar cast with previous week Malaysia Masters, combination of established names and upcoming player. WS discipline offers stronger cast as both world number 1 & 2 have been registered here, Carolina Marin and Saina Nehwal respectively.
Marin's name is in but not Nozomi. Wonder if Marin will pull out by the last date of withdrawal without penalty on 3rd Jan 2016.
I don't think she'll withdraw! This is a warm event to start the year with style besides she was RU this year and she allegedly told the press she likes to cone to India and the food is fantastic in her hard Spanish accent
The MS draw is pretty good except AJ to meet KS too early. Also if everything goes right KS can complete his magnificent hatrick of loosing in the finale
Ashwini/Vladimir back on the draw interesting. And JG/AP should visit tirupati soon they are going to get free points they are unstoppable atleast till the SF
this one is 2015 version, not 2016 version, the real draw for 2016 version will be at 5 January 2016...
latest M/Q report, several players from qualifier group have withdrawn, thus make the MAS rising youngster Goh Jin Wei will play this tournament starting from qualifying round...
Draw http://www.bwfbadminton.org/file.aspx?id=685386&dl=1 Happy to see Siril and Ruthvika playing. But if he qualifies for main draw, have to play Lee dong keun in the first round. Unfortunate for Siril verma.
In MS lots of youngsters and all the top Indians are playing. Surprised that Carolina Marin is not playing.
A possible main draw R/32 clash, the reigning WJC Goh Jin Wei v China promising WS Chen Yufei, interesting tie to follow. Most of MS seeded shuttlers have relatively comfortable opening match, tricky first round test for Prannoy and Tanongsak who will take on Huang YX and Prasetyo respectively.
too bad Lee Chong Wei no take part this tournament, or else he will have his revenge against K Srikanth for the humiliating defeat at PBL recently...
Yeah!! Although both of them have a tricky task tomorrow I hope yo see them crossing swords again!! Tommy is in formidable form he not only won all his PBL matches but is now crashing his opponents with single digits.. And another Malaysian in action tomorrow Iskandar man he seems to be good, + KS has a habit of loosing to young and upcoming players. If KS somehow get better or even better if crushes his opponent tomorrow he will have good psychological edge of Sir LCW on Sunday
15 year old Siril varma's debut entry tomorrow. Hope he qualifies for main draw. Even if he qualifies, he has Lee Dong Keun in the first round. But a good experience to this lad.
I will be over the moon if he reaches the final..... Given his Anirbanesque recent form, his quota is filled till March.... Both are future number ones in my book, ability wise.... Small chiselling and polishing left... Putting for one, patience for the other.
Doesn't matter that Ruth's playing. She has been playing SMGPG for ages.... It will matter when she starts playing SSs abroad regularly.... Times flown....
