Simon Santoso checks in to the QF and will face a stern test against Peter Gade. He needs to beat Gade to show that he's ready to challenge the top 4 players (PG, LCW, TH, Taufik).
Yup Simon win it... next will face Peter Gade.. Last encounter, simon lost in 3 sets... time to revenge
The Simon Santoso-vs-Rajiv Ouseph match Game 1: SS-RO 21-19 Game 2: SS-RO 15-13 (RO trying to come back) SS-RO 18-13 SS-RO 18-15 SS-RO 21-15 (SS finishes it off)
The Simon Santoso-vs-Rajiv Ouseph match Match over in just 40 minutes. SS should be OK to face PG tomorrow. Game 1: SS-RO 21-19 Game 2: SS-RO 21-15
The Wang Xin[1]-vs-Wong Mew Choo match was over in just 31 minutes. WX was too strong for WMC; Game 1: WX-WMC 21-16 Game 2: WX-WMC 21-09
. That's what I meant by "SS should be OK to face PG tomorrow", because SS wasn't extended much by RO (in a reasonably short 40 minutes match). PG's match today was also rather short (38 minutes).
. Don't think so. As long as SS is not injured, the SS-vs-PG match should be a very close one. I would be away from BadmintonCentral tomorrow. I hope BCers could post their progressive scores and comments for me to come back to read later. .
Taufik said it is very cold there in his twitter after his winning at R32. Probably tomorrow will be the last day for INA contingent.
I take the top 4 players should be LD,LCW,TH,PG I believe he can beat PG and TH now at least give them a hard breath, for LCW and LD Simon has to level up his game speed
Round of 16 produced a lot of upsets. WZM(U) beat CJ(5) 21-11, 21-14 KT(U) beat CL(4) 20-22, 23-21, 21-16 DPY(U) beat BCL(8) 21-16, 21-13 SS(U) beat SN(4) 17-21, 21-19, 21-11 MCP/JR(U) beat CY/FHF(5) 21-18, 17-21, 21-13 KKJ/KSR(U) beat MK/HS(3) 21-18, 21-18 CHL/CWH(U) beat SP/ST(2) 21-19, 22-24, 21-14 The top Chinese singles players except for LD and the top Chinese doubles pair all lost to unseeded(U) opponents. Thankfully 2 of the Chinese seeded singles players lost to their own unseeded players and there are still 3 Chinese singles players for the quarter final. TH is pitted to play LD in the quarter final and that should a good match to watch unless someone withdraws at the last minute. Malaysia will have a MD semi-final representation as the 2 Malaysian doubles pairs will slot it out in the quarter final.
I'm just back to online tonight, and surprised of many-many-many upset today. I still not believe in Markis Kido/Hendra Setiawan lost to KOR junior pair, also Saina Nehwal lost to Sato, Cai Yun/Fu Haifeng end today. How can a Taufik need a rubber game to defeat Wong. Wing Ki?????? I can't believe these.
I'm not sure if I can go to next round of KD PAW,since I've been in last position for the last two days. Not a beatiful week for me. But I will play for regular PAW.
