More Info here http://www.shuttlecock101.com/new-p...lk-discount-on-sale-now-1-00-off-tube-coupon/ I was at a club last night and during a singles game, a fellow club mate took out this Aeroplane Black Label tube that has golden foil on the top and bottom He too me he purchased it in China a couple of weeks ago. I have never seen or heard of these until I checked on Aeroplane's official website. He told me it is the Limited Edition EG1130 with 100% all natural Portuguese Cork. We played it and the shuttle felt very good. Also I think the feather quality used on this Black Label Limited is even BETTER than the regular Black Label, and better than Yonex AeroSensa 50. Durability is on par with the JP Yonex New Official Shuttles (which costs around $50 USD equivalent) The Black Label Limited is at around $28 USD. After playing with the Limited Edition Black Label last night and seeing the insane feather durability and cork solidity and feel, as well as maintaining good speed after some heavy men's single clears and smashes, I am planning to buy a tube or two to do a full test. Anyone else tried a tube if these shuttles?
shuttlecock forum is >>>> that way I have heard of aeroplane but only via here. Not seen them for sale in UK.
Kwun, you should really try ot whenever you play next time. These Limited Edition Black Labels are a bit better in durability compared to the old "bold font" Black Labels.. The cork does not deform at all even when frame shoted, unlike the current "skinny font" Aeroplane Black Labels.
I know, i posted using iPhone Safari browser, the mobile version of the site threw me off somewhat.. Lol
cool. look forward to testing it. i still have couple dozen tube of the old Aeroplane Black (they age like fine wine!) so i plan to do a comparison.
If you try to age them years old Aeroplanes in dry Canada, the feathers would have already been quite dry like crispy chicken lol... I wish I still had some old batch Aeroplanes to compare with. I could only compare last night from my memory of what the old batches were like.
haha well, they don't exactly get any better, but given all the new shuttles are getting worse and worse the old ones still feel very good. kept indoor out of the sun and heat, they don't get any worse. in fact, i have a batch of Yang Yang 300B from 2003 that I still use regularly and they are still very good!
Kwun, at the glacially slow rate that you're taking to go thru your shuttle stock, may I recommend you to go out and play more badminton...
how do you know i don't have stashed up 100+ tubes of shuttle to prepare for the rainy days? (and i do...) (and i am not telling you where...)
^ Isn't there some stricture against hoarding essential commodities? This Limited Ed sounds like worth checking out -for a guy who takes 3 months to go through 1 tube!
shuttlecock are like fine wine. i keep the good ones around so i can still taste them for years to come. do you ever complain to wine collectors that they are hoarding? see.
You should'a been a lawyer! Besides, wine isn't an essential commodity -unless you're trying to get hitched. Now, to go look for a supplier on this planet of mine...
Lol... Every time I keep shuttlecocks for over 6 months in my Canadian closet, the feathers turns to KFC's Bucket Chicken I have to repeated steam a few times, and let the shuttles settle in the tube for about a week then to play. And even then, the feather is quite brittle and are prone to break, compared to a new tube of shuttles from the latest batch Kwun, you must share how exactly you share your shuttles and still keep the feathers rigid on a tube of shuttles that has been sitting for 10+ years.
Is no one going to share where to obtain these oh-so precious shuttles in North America? It looks like shuttlecock101 is selling them.
Well, when cork prices increased, we tore a strip off of Aeroplane for keeping the price the same and lowering quality. So, they listened and put good cork on these new shuttles. We shouldn't be surprised that they are more expensive.
No wonder kwun likes to store up wine and shuttles as they have one thing in common.....he must a cork connoisseur...
