All we have to do is to convince Bill Gate or his wife or his father to play badminton and become half as crazy as we are about this beautiful game! Sounds like a wacky idea but folks think about it. It's worth it.

too bad half the world hates him and thinks he's trying to take over the world...
being the richest doesn't mean ppl will follow you. if you think about it, they're jealous of you.

do any of us even know what he likes, lesiure wise? I myself have no idea. That's proof right there that not many people care what he does outside MS. If he'd be willing to build up some courts for us... now that'd be totally different.

    that, would be incredibly sweet.

haha, on this website it says Paul Newman and Diego Maradona both enjoy badminton. Now if only Paul Newman could appeal to the younger kids, and Diego Maradona were not such a druggie and DIDN"T score that goal with his fist....

I'm quite sure that Bill Gates likes Table Tennis aka Ping Pong.

He was a regular at the Ping Pong events at the sydney olympics and the commentator did mention that he enjoys the sport.

i am not sure how much Bill Gates likes badminton.

but i heard that another very rich man in the world is a real badminton fanatic. and that person is the Sultan of Brunei. it will be more probable to have him spend some of his money on badminton instead of BillG.

Oh, he is. He is spending money on badminton (building his own courts for his own private use). Wouldn't be surprised if he hasn't already paid some of the top players to come and coach him. He did that for his son who is very into snooker (represented the country in the Asian games) when he hired some of the best known snooker players in the world (from England, Steve Davis, etc) to come and show his son some of the tips and techniques.

How would you like to receive S$30,00 (US$ 17,500) to partner the King in badminton? Of course you must be a world-class player. But you can sample his two air-con badminton courts in his Singapore hotel for a reasonable rental. If only he were the IBF President instead...maybe world badminton will be different by now and will not be on the dangerously-ill list in the next two Olympics! But I heard the Brunei economy, with its sole reliance on nature's black gold, is not doing as well and may be a cause for concern.

The only way promoting badminton to increase the income is by getting a dozen or more of very hot girls to be on the yonex or any badminton company logo with badminton rackets.

Pic of the Sultan's baddy court

...courtesy of PGade. He's standing amongst the score board (solid gold!) Don't like the walls as the colour should be dark green/blue.

if celebs can help promote the game, both Jackie Chan and Jet Li have claim badminton as their favorite sports and they both are in high regards in the minds of today's american youths. :D

Dude.. E-mail Billy G to setup some kind of college that has high academic standards e.g. Harvard and their main program is a badminton program. You'll see people all over the world go there ;)

Damn.. state of the art technology in the courts haha
