Hey, For the Isometric Ti swing power, i know there is the singapore version (SP)...but is there such a version as GR? I'm not sure, but my friend says it may be a european version.. if u can, please reply
Correction: SP = South Pacific HK = HongKong JP = Japan CN = Canada GR ? To be honest, I've never heard that....
Re: Re: YONEX racquet versions (SP, etc) Well how do you know that SP stands for South Pacific?? And btw, CN/CP = China Player Rackets. (this many pple in the forum knows) Canada rackets shouldn't be called CN I think.
Re: Re: YONEX racquet versions (SP, etc) CD... is Canada. GR is germany. There are many more of these country codes.............
Somehow the question of SP keeps coming up. Yonex is not helping matters by not willing to expand or clarify. Destination codes includes: TW = Taiwan TH = Thailand US = USA UK = United Kingdown GR = Germany CN = China (there seems to be a distinction between CP and CN. Can only assume that CP is for China National Player) AU=Australia NZ=New Zealand Why both these countries are not grouped under SP is beyond me if SP stands for South Pacific FR = France SP = ??? These versions are the ones that are available in Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and I would assume the Philippines. The list goes on.
SP = Sunrise Sports Sunrise Sports is the largest distributor in Asia. I have been confirmed by 3 different people. 2 are Yonex distributors in Canada and 1 is an ex-national player from Malaysia that was sponsored by Yonex before.
okay, thanks for the replies, just another question... now that i know that GR is germany, could you guys tell me which is more durable? GR or SP?
I was in Shenzhen 2 weeks ago. A department store is selling Yoenix rackets and the rackets are labeled CH. Not CP or CN. I'm pretty sure it's CH because I have read about CP and CN in this forum before I went to Shenzhen. MP100 was sold for 1400 yuen which is over 170 US dollor. I wonder if any one know what CH is.
CH is for the mass Chinese market, meaning, you can buy those in regular shops. CN/CP are special rackets made for the Chinese team.

Qidong Well Qidong, shenzhen is known for selling fakes/clones so those region codes could be common typos that the chinese fake/clone makers made, ive seen many of these, such as a muscel power 100 or an amrortec800 o/f, so the region code CH could be a mistype
They are supposing the same quality. I have asked a few Yonex authorized stores (including the one I go) about the country codes and they replied by saying that warranty rackets (ie. JP/CD/US) is better than the non-warranty rackets like the SP (basically they are saying SP is lower end of the spectrum literally). Whether if it's true, I'm not sure since this have been debated on the forums before. This question would be more at your discretion. For me, I’ll just go for the warranty rackets since I’m not going to take chances.
The genuine Yonex racquets sold in China are CH, which are the only version carrying a Yonex warranty in China. Even JP, US, SP or what have you Yonex racquets do not carry any warranty in China. Likewise, SP racquets will be not carry any warranty in Japan, just as JP racquets will not carry any warranty in Hong Kong or Singapore. The reason is simple. Each Yonex entity in a country gets a very favourable transfer price, which includes allowances for warranty claims, from Yonex Japan. Now, if you have JP racquet which you want to claim for damage in say, Singapore, Yonex Singapore will of course not pay for someone else's responsibility/costs.
