I misread the title as "latest Yonex racquet" rather than "my latest Yonex racquet". A nice find / true classic. Do you have the original press also?
do u mean that wooden clamp which can be used to maintain the shape of the frame? no, i don't have it at the moment. hopefully, i can get one in the future.
Yes. Good luck with your hunting. Do all wooden frames need those clamps? Or is it only the ealier (weaker) wooden frames?
Nice racket indeed! Please make sure it doesn't end up in the "Resting Place for Soldiers in Arms" (or something like that). Ant's is that thread's regular feature, it seems like. -dave
Damn good looking racquet. Better get the clamp to make sure it does not warp... Thanks for sharing the picture. I am feeling really old...
red00ecstrat, are you actually going to hit a few shuttles with the racket, or is it just for collection? I did see one player here (Vancouver), who actually use a wooden racket (vintage Yonex?) for a few practise games. -dave
Thanks Red for sharing. Memories came flashing back. Could you also post the full length of this racket? Thanks again.
no dave. it's just for collection. in fact. it's a super head heavy racket and my wrist is too weak for that! and here's the full length of the racket.
sorry winex8888, that sticker has been peeled off. so i m not quite sure how heavy it is. by the way, i remember yonex had used "L" rather than "U" to represent the weight of a racket in the past. like my blacken. it is in 3LG4. but does it means the weight of "L"="U". i don't really know!
On second look, it seems the head is slightly warped to the right. Or is my eyes playing tricks on me? Nevertheless, still a beauty to behold.
It is a nice racket indeed. . I do agree, priceless item like this is better to be put for display. Better not use it. it may end up like my NS9000. hehehhe
