In the general aspect of pure performance and style adaption, which of the Yonex series is the best one, with the exception of the Nanospeed series, that is still in full publicized production?

I'd just like everyone's experienced opinions on this.

    Armortec
    Muscle Power
    Carbonex
    Isometric

uh, isn't the armortec still in full publicized production? as with the muscle power?

the isometric series is now cut down to merely the ti10 for any real purposes. i think they still produce the ti7 maybe? not really sure.

That was the point? Those are the series that aren't excluded from the more recent and "up-to-date" Nanospeed series.

    I meant among those choices..

they all have the potential to be the best, if you take lin dan and give him top end of any of those racquets im sure he would still own 99% of all badminton players

    My experience:

    MP: overall best

    Cab: most reliable

NS: Most mobile, best feel but structural not so sound

AT: best performing but structurally the weakest

Iso: reliable but the least performing

All these series are good, as DinkAlot said they suit differently to different styles of play. Personally I'd say AT-series is the best - though I'm still waiting to get my hands on NS9000 :p

How come AT is structurally weakest? I thought the AT frame is stronger than MP and ISO frames. The AT frame is thicker and should be stronger.

From personal experience (10 different ATs) and from observing at The Club and talking to the Club Manager.

Better yet, just clash one and find out. ;) :p :D

Personally I think AT is the best designed all around series.

That is includes colours, durability, performance and price range!!!!

Personally, I have a friend who's tired just about every racquet since 1995 and he says AT is the best. I value his opinions a lot because he makes very unbiased decisions. He is currently using the AT500 and wins many tournaments around my area.

I must say I agree. I've tried Isometric... it's a very basic racquet, decent enough to do anything, but won't give you any "benefits" for using it. MP's to me just never got it right. They all have "personality" but they never seemed to get a perfect balance. Even the very popular MP99 seems to lack control when performing touch shots.

The AT series also have their own personalities. AT300 is a low end model but still packs a punch. AT500 is very good all around. AT700 is the all-around + a bit more pop model. AT800DE is the super maneuverable model. AT800 is the super powerful model. However, even with these personalities, they all have a good balance at the same time.

I have to also disagree with AT's being the least durable.

My friend got a brand new AT 500, swinging it in his room and bam hits the lightbulb. A huge paint chip on the side of his racket. Kind of like a crater but the racket still performs well.

I have AT 800 DE and I've clashed a few times (at low tension) with other rackets and it seemed fine.

On the other hand, My friend was playing with his friend's brand new MP 99 and during a backhand clashed with a noob'd ISO 75 and the racket frame cracked.

MP series or NS series are the weakest IMO.

AT series is the winning models of the Yonex line.

In any racket clashing contest, Cab-20 will kill all others instantly ;)

Hm, well, you can't really determine the overall durability based on just a few occurances. I mean, you don't know the initial quality of the product off-hand, because you have no idea where the racquet is produced, just that it was shipping to a certain country. You could assume that all of those racquets are made identically, but that's most likely not the case. There's a high probability that individual racquets of a certain model obtain certain distinct/distinguished qualities that others do not contain, therefore making it somewhat unique.

Anyway, that's just my opinion, but yea, keep talking, I wanna hear some more from everyone's experiences.

I agree with this entirely, partly because i tried most of them out and partly because my AT800 broke

Even with a Sotx woven racket? Those things are like swords!

MY VOTE: MP is the best................for performance and many models for every skill level and budget.

I do not care about durability as in 15 years never broke a racket. I actually look forward to it:) I feel left out:(
