    Hi Guys....

Saw these 2 brand new racket from Carlton. Already available in RSH outlets in KL/PJ. Both of them look awesome!!! Price RM269 but certain outlets are offering rebates when u trade in your old racket (any brand or condition) :)

AirBlade Elite: 85g, head light, Medium Flex (Doubles oriented)
PowerBlade Elite: 87g, Head heavy, ISO-frame, Stiff (all-rounder)

Goto www.centralsports.co.uk to check out the rackets...

Hmmm, wonder when the new AirBlade Superlite will be available... time to upgrade my old 2003 racket.. :D

Anybody saw or even purchase them???

The new Carlton rackets can be found in Royal Sporting House (RSH) outlets in Malaysia. If u r in PJ, try visiting the outlets in 1 Utama Shopping Centre.

I think the Elite is for single players, for British No.1 player Richard Vaughan is using Airblade Elite.

I don't know and actually doubt if there is any big difference b/t the new airblade elite and 2003 airblade lite, because Carlton just got ride of the lite in 2005 series. Maybe it is just a change of the name.

Here is a picture of Airblade Elite vs. Powerblade Elite rackets.

I think they just added an "e" to make "Lite" into "Elite"... :D

They are different, the Lite was a cheap version, and it was head light. This is a brand new, top of the range, head heavy racquet

and how exactly is it a cheap version?
    just because its cheaper?

its still made of the same materials as the superlite, the tour, and the elite!

if being cheaper in price makes it a cheap racquet, then good for you.

to me, and some others i'm sure, the lite was still a great racquet.

It's a cheap version because it doesn't cost as much as the Elite, of course being lower in price makes it a cheap racket, relative to the Elite. I never said that I thought it was a bad racket as the cost says nothing about the quality, I've never even used it but if it works for you then great;)

I got my business associate to buy for me the Powerblade Elite from KL's RSH outlet last week. I got it strung with BG80 at 24lbs and tried it out yesterday.

Although it was said as head-heavy, I donot feel that - it is more even balanced to me. It is a good all-round racket as advertised. I used to play with Woven 8A, and Powerblade Elite has similar manoeuvrability in double as Woven 8A but pack a little more power in smash. I struggled on a few net shot but guess it was due to unfimilarity.

I will try it out again tomorrow. But so far the impression is excellent, esp. it only cost MYR269. I would say it is a good double racket and also suitable for ladies who prefer a light yet able to generate some power racket.
