Why are electric machines 10K?

    The Babolat Sensor is 10 000 canadian, direct from babolat. Why is it so expensive? tensioner and precision? equipment? because of the market? hmm??

    Everything you mentioned.

    The clamps are exception quality. They simply don't tilt when the tensioner is released; hence, almost no tension is lost.

    how about comparing those to those cheap silent partner and eagnas electric ones? cheap quality i guess.

    I believe you mean electronic stringing machines instead of electric machines. Electronic stringing machines come in all sizes, shapes and prices, from more than US$10,000 to less than US$200. Electronic machines are after all stringing machines. There are many ways to tension a string-crank, drop weight, electric, electronic, and by hand using a handle bar.

    Electronic machines use a micro chip for constant pull and are not affected by voltage variations in the power supply. Electric ones don't use a chip, has no "brains", and is affected by voltage variations.

    any thoughts of getting those cheapo eletrik or electronic ones? like the eagnas and silent partners? i cant afford a star 4 or a sensor expert.

    don't buy it for the novelty.

    a crank mechanism is usually cheaper to manufacture than electronic. if they are the same price, that means they skimmed on other components.
