Default 2004 World Junior Tournament...

Hi folks,

I have just been talking to a few people, and apparently the world junior tournament is going to be held in Canada once again?

Does anyone here have any info, or know of where exactly it is going to be held? as I would love to get to see the event, to check out any of the worlds newest up and comers.

Does anyone know of any particular players from any countries, to keep a watchful eye out for?

Thanks for your input.

Kelvin,
you will have to come out to Vancouver this Oct for the WC 2004 juniors. Hopefully I will be volunteering with some of the stuff.

Thanks for your replies guys.

I've been asked by some people to attend the World Juniors to watch, but I felt kind of embarrassed to ask where they were being held

In any event I'm looking forward to booking some time off to be able to check out all the action!!

Take care, and I hope to see some of you there.

Will anyone know what the Minoru Arena is like? Is it like a stadium with air conditioning? Good luck to all our Canadian Juniors that'll be competing there! Go Canada Go!

Mironu arena is simply 3 community hockey rinks. It isn't anything special.. in fact, I find it underwhelming. I don't remember Minoru being airconditioned (although maybe that's because they didn't want to turn it on for rollerhockey).

Man, that would be awesome to visit Vancouver and watch the best junior players... But, work and coaching are tough to leave; especially coaching when it is the begining of the tournament's schedule...

Well, keep us posted and I hope you'll have a blast out there! We don't often have the opportunity to receive the best players in the world. And perhaps a future WC or Olympic champion!

How many BF'ers in the GVRD area are planning to go? Please add your response to this thread for all to see. We should organize the times if a group is interested in say seeing specific matches together. It'll be a great BF outing!

WWC, could you please let us know when individual event tickets become available?

WWC: What do they mean by 4 seats for $500? Do they mean 4 tickets for $500? That means $125 per person, but it comes in four? Thanks in advance!
