    to the HK'ers.

a couple months back someone says cab20's are sold out in HK. how is the market now? do they have new batch in stock?

i assume there are still cab21's as well?

can someone update me on the prices?

talked to one retailer in HK, Mr. Keen.

they are out of cab22. and they claim they are not expecting any more cab22. from the tone of it, it sounds like the supply is cut and any still in the market will be the last ones...

but he does have cab20s and they are from recent production. so hunt around and you will find them...

they are out of cab21s but expecting new shipment so it looks like cab21 is still in production. let's hope Mr. WongCH doesn't change his mind on racket, i have a feeling he is the one who is keeping the production line up and thus the supply of it flowing.

I got the same answers from my links ,too.

There are about some (very limited) amount of Cab20Power(22) still floating in TW region....but it's hard to find (or ridiculously expensive). I had a hard time in March finding Cab20Power as well (but I managed to find enough for myself :))

Too bad Cab20Power (22) is going to be gone.....

How is availability now of the Cab20, Cab20 Long and Cab22 models in HK?

I believe there was maybe just 1 or 2 places left here in Canada that retail cab22...

I'm just curious, as in about 2 months I'd like to look at acquiring 2-3 of them... for my stock piling. LOL

I dont plan on using any other racquet series anymore, as I've settled on this.
Cab 30 looks nice, and once more people play with it, and give feed back I'd like to pick one up in 2U if possible.

But for now, i'd like to concentrate on the classics.

If I cant find cab22, I will go for cab20 Long as it has great characteristics as well.

    Thanks for your help.

    -Kelvin
PS: I doubt the price change much in 3 months, but... have they fluctuated much at all?

Heh! I think CAB22s' retail prices probably went up thanks to Bluejeff's buying spree:D.

Hey, I have not visit Mong Kok for 2 weeks, is there any Cab 20 avaliable??

There is a price cycle for the rackets in HK...........

Hi price (newly introduce) - Lower price (come with other versions) - Cheap price (suddenly low price without reason) - Very Hi price (the seafood price)...

I miss the chance to buy Cab 20 power and Cab 22 when they are under HK$420 (around US$60). :(

    :D
    Seafood price?? :D:D

    New: always expensive
After several months: everyone has it already so it's not as expensive
After some years: no one is using it, so it's cheap
and after 10 years: really expensive since no one has them anymore and it's hard to find.

    Very good observations, forrest :)

    :p LOL
    I think you're right Cappy.

BlueJeff, you single handedly drove up the price of the cab22/cab20power, in your little trip to TW. LOL

Also depleted the rest of the world's supply

I will remember that the next time I go buy a racquet LOL
Well... unless it's from you of course.

ok. i am putting my cab22 in the safe deposit box (need a big one), maybe 10/15 yrs later it will become collector's item.

i wonder though, old rackets like cab20 from the 80's are very very common. nowadays they are quite rare and some sought after them. if we buy say a container load of them now, will ppl in 20 yrs time continue to seek them and treat them as gem?

yes, i think so because by that time, badminton will be 10X more popular than now :) and we would have 10X more people like bluejeff, forrestyung, LB, etc.
Imagine, 10 extra bluejeff's (and who knows if they are all decendents of bluejeff  )

I think yes, just because we have crazy badminton fans and mad badminton racket collectors here :)

Imagine that, in year 2030, people are still posting something like:
    "WTB Cab-20 Original"
    or
    "FS Cab-20 Original"
    :D:D

nah.....my gf and I were thinking just having 2 :p:p:p
(but I can't control my grand sons;) )

Talk about having a big box to store all rackets, I found that, the box, that Yonex-USA gave me (a very big and stardy one), is very good for storing rackets.

In fact, it's the best box I have ever have. It's like magic box that is undestructable:)

I have checked with my supplier, Cab 20 is having stock in distributors. But the large stores (I mean the stores accept Credit Card) do not sell this model at this moment. In Rose, Cab 20 is still selling, but do not accept the credit card.

On the other hand, the Cab 20 MS is at the new low price, HK$495. It is a good chance for Hong Kong players to test this racket.

    Wow!

    Thanks for the update Forest.

Now I need to find out if I know anyone, going back to HK, otherwise I will have to contact my relatives

Has anyone seen how availability for variants such as the Cab 20 Long in Hong Kong is??

Do many of you use the racquet at all? as I am trying to get a hold of a few extra racquets, so I dont have to worry about not having any racquet to use, should anything bad happen. :p

    Good to be prepared.
