I think I read the "UP" code once, but could not remember it. Tried search with "UP code", did not go anywhere. Helped a friend to pick up his new MP100, the code is UP. The dealer claims that he got it from China, but aren't that suppose to be CN/CP/CH? Or, UP is a special edition? Any information?
If I tell you it's a print mistake the factory made between US and JP, would you believe me? It's true, Mike from SeaSide got a whole shipment of MP100UP, and he asked the same question to the Yonex factory. Apperently, that was their answer... The guy who was incharge of printing the racquet area code messed up on the letters between US and JP. Since most of the UP got shipped to the US, I guess it was supose to be "US". So no mystery about it, it was all just a stupid mistake.
that's so funny! for the collector minded, this will make great collector's item! just like the misprinted coins and stamps...
but lazbud said he picked up his UP version from china... I wonder how many rackets were made with the UP code. It could be a collector item, just like errors in coins, paper monies and stamps.
US+JP=>UP??? Great, now we can use the warranty at both places, right ? Thought about it again.....between US and Japan area......which should be Hawaii area.......so, these racket should be sold in Hawaii area! (since there are a lot of Japanese people living in Hawaii area anyway)
Kwun, I can get pictures of MP100UP...maybe next week. Cooler, I guess they're not just in the US, just most of it got shipped into US. Since Yonex is not making anymore MP100, those MP100UP Mike got were the last shipment of all the MP100 into the US. He says he bought all the MP100 available, and since they're discontinued, he got those with a lower price too. He's planning to sell them out with a lower price.
MP100UP 2U Thanks! It's good to be back. I brought a lot of birds and Yonex polo shirts back too! Went to the shop BlueJeff talked about in Taiwan, but I found a cheaper place to buy badminton stuff in Taiwan. No time now, will post soon~~
yeah, buying badminton in Taiwan is great, everything is inexpensive Strings are 50% off compare with US prices.
Hello BlueJeff, I got a few yonex polo from that shop. There were actually a few more shops around there selling badminton stuff. We searched around for all the badminton shops in that area, then went to Shi-Lin night market, there's another badminton shop right across the street from the night market, you can "talk price" in the Shi-Lin night market shop, so we bought more polo shirts, warmups and bags there. They're average of $15USD per polo shirt. So we got 10 of them. er...side tracked...sorry LB, let's talk more about UP.
I helped a friend to picked it up from a local dealer. According to my friend, the dealer told him that he got this racket from China.
Re: Re: as promised Apart from the 'UP', what other features are there that led you to beleive it is fake?
