Trying to find a good coach in the milton keynes area. If anyone has any experience of coaches near or in milton keynes in the uk I'd be very grateful to hear about it. Thanks.
reply You've got to be kidding right? Milton Keynes is the home of the Badminton Association of England - it is FULL of badminton coaches. Just call them up or go to baofe.co.uk (or is it .org?) and there is a long long list. David
I know, I play at the National Badminton Centre. I have a mate who has a coach but he is always fully booked. And I have tried looking on the BAofE site but can't find the list you mentioned. I initially looked in the coaching section (seemed sensible) but it seemed to be geared towards encouraging people to become a coach. I even mailed them (before my initial post on here) but haven't heard back.
So you train at the National badminton centre but do not have a coach? Just ask around at the centre...
The BA of E have a block about returning e-mails You need to phone them and ask them to fax you a list of coaches as per your financial requirements
Coaching Courses in the UK Hi All Lee Jae Bok's LIBA UK Badminton Academy are running a series of "One Day Workshops" in Suffolk, East Anglia from Friday 9th till Friday 16th July. Each workshop runs from 10.00 am till 5.00 pm with an hour break for lunch ( 1.00 till 2.00 ) The six hours of coaching will cover basic skills such as, grip, footwork, strokes, court positioning etc. The workshops will also cover more advanced areas such as deception, tactics, attitude and fitness training. Full details are available on the LIBA UK website: www.libauk.com Best regards Skates
By far your best bet for quality coaching is Manfred Tripp. He is a moody git but he's as good as they come. Just communicate to him through your training that you are willing to work hard and you will be in. PM me if you want more info.
Just to sort this out someone dug up this thread, it's an old one. I am now coached by Sara Sankey who I rate as first class. Slanter - I was watching Mani play in a tournament yesterday. Are you coached by him?
Also in addition to this Lee Jae Bok will be in Glasgow for 2 days this summer on the 14th and 15th August, so anyone who would like to attend one of his workshops please drop me a PM. They will be in the Cockburn centre in the south side of Glasgow from 10.00am - 5.00pm both days and if you're lucky you might even get time off for lunch
Anyone going to this workshop? I will be attending this workshop from 10th July to 12th July. Hope to see some badminton forum members there. I will surely meet skates there. Anyone else going?
I'm going along on the Saturday and Sunday (10th and 11th) with a friend... really looking forward to it! Hope to see you there.
If i can get my own way i'll be there this Sunday (July 11th) at one of the workshops helping Lee out.
I'll be there from 10th to 12th July but I may also extend until 13th july. Not sure yet. Hope to meet you there.
Cool Hope to see you too. Can't wait for saturday I couldn't find any accommodation in littleport so I may stay in ely and travel to littleport. See you all there
My game standard is between beginner and intermediate (70% beginner and 30% intermediate). What's yours game standards jonno and batgirl? My fitness level is very poor and my knee problem really concerns me for the workshops. Anyway those problems won't stop me from enjoying the day
You can't find anywhere to stay in Littleport? Thats a bit of a worry, I haven't even looked yet. I take it the recommended places all booked up? I used to play county juniors, now just for the university. I'm looking forward to going as well, it'll make a change from work!
