1) Some brands are very famous but some brands may be not known in some areas. Eg: We are easily to find Redson and Yamaha in Japan, but they are very difficult to find in Hong Kong and other districts. In Hong Kong, every model of Redson and Yamaha rackets are rare rackets, but in Japan, they are just common rackets. For the country without Victor, a New Fung 2000 is already a very rare racket.
2) Age for the rackets - Cab 3, Cab 7, Oldest Cab 8 (green, yellow, orange).......... are very rare since the introduction years are too long and many rackets are broken after usage. In fact, they were widely distributed in past. Today, Cab 3, Cab 7..... are rare rackets, may be ten years later, Ti 10, Nanospeed 8000.... will become rare rackets.
3) The meaning of rare rackets are depended personally - most people will consider some short distributed Yonex rackets to be rare rackets, some people will consider other brands to be rubbish. In fact, I will consider Estca, Rossignol and Kneissl badminton stuff to be rare rackets, but I think some people after read these brand name, then only would say "what......."![]()
At this moment, please find my personal rare rackets list:
Boron 2 (only has single lot production)
Boron 7 (only has single lot production)
Widebody 30 (only has single lot production)
BX 801, 802, 906 (only has single lot production)
Green Cab 20 (only has single lot production)
Latest Cab 20jp (with wrong spelling)
Amortec LE (with wrong spelling, must be rare racket after 10-20 years)
Rossignol badminton rackets (a famous tennis brand only produced 2 models)
Estca badminton rackets (a famous tennis brand "Estusa", only produced 2 models)
Kneissl badminton rackets (a famous tennis brand, only produced 1 model)
Donnay "Aproll Pro" (the only Pro racket by Donnay, introduced in 1987)
"CN" rackets - since you cannot simply use money to buy it.

I know from you and your chums that La Fletche 500 and E-1000 are powerful rackets. I know from personal experience that Ti-10 is a powerful racket. I would define a powerful racket as something that can transfer the maximum amount of energy/force you applied to the racket to the shuttle. Further, the racket must be able to capture and return the maximum amount of energy/force from the incoming shuttle.Originally Posted by cooler
Hi CoolDoob, what do you think about Wilson N'pro?? For those arm, whist, shoulder users, it will be a dead stuff............... For those finger users, it will be a power monster................Originally Posted by CoolDoob
Cab 21 used to be most powerful racket in Yonex, then Cab 20 power, Aerotus, then Iso, Ti, then MP...... The most powerful rackets will be a medium powerful rackets time after time......, that's why I find I lost my way in collection rackets. New stuff will be Old Classics and story will never be ended.
I give up. I am not that serious a collector. Right now I just want to collect Ti-10's. Anyone wanna sell me their old Ti-10 3U's for cheap ?
ARE YONEX BLACKEN AND YONEX BLACKEN II WITH CARBON SHAFT CONSIDERED OLD RACQUETS. I had my Yonex Blacken since 1982 or 1983 if I remember it correctly. My Blacken II's are since 1986 or 1987.
For the Blacken (B-8100), there are three generation and should be stainless steel shaft. The first generation is in small T joint with super old logo, the second generation is in small T joint with old logo, the third generation is in big T joint (just like cab 8) with old logo. I never seem Blacken in new logo, if anybody find the new logo one, please let me know.Originally Posted by twomk

For the first two generations, it is really very hard to find. For the third generation, I still can find it in Hong Kong.
For the Blacken II (should be B-8200, please confirm my number is correct or not) and in Carbon shaft, it is quite rare and hardly to find in Hong Kong, I am still searching a mint condition one for collection. Singapore should have more, but I consider it is also a rare rackets in nowadays.

I have never seen a Blacken like a CAB-8 before. Is that what u mean with large T-Joint? Is that the BH-8200? Because both of my racquets' shaft are of a smaller than usual diameter. I am looking for new raquets with thin shafts just like the them. I may post some pictures when I have the time.
