And here are more pics of the cone.
See the sticker that says U-G3... and the other side with the serial numbers.

The old orange/silver aerotus 110 is hard to find now, while the blue one is still available.

    Hello Mongoose,

Many thanks for sharing the pictures of your legend Yonex BX 906 with us. The racket is really like brand new.

May we know if its shaft is of 7mm, the same thickness of that of Boron 2 and Cab 21 ?

    Tks.

The shaft should be same thickness as per Cab 20.

I can't measure the thickness. But it looks like the same thickness as the Cab 20 as forrestyung says.
On the shaft is just printed "BUILT IN T-JOINT BX-906". Nothing else. It doesn't even say "Made in Japan" or anything else like that.
Yes the racket looks almost brand new. I've used it for only 2-3 sessions in the past.
Since I just found out from these posts that the racket is so rare, I decided to cut the strings and store the racket in a safe place.

As for playability of the racket:
The shaft feels much stiffer than Cab20.
The overall weight of the racket also feels heavier (perhaps because its a U).
However the swingweight is low despite its overall weight.
ie the racket is highly manueverable.
Much more power from the baseline especially for attacking lobs and smashes.
But racket doesn't feel good defensively.
Very difficult to return smashes with high flicks to the backcourt. Shots seem to go 3/4-court all the time. (unlike when I'm using MP100/99).
Much easier to simply block smashes.

I wonder which model came out first?
    BX906? Boron 2? Cab20? or Cab21?

    Mongoose / Forrest,

    Many thanks for your information.

It seems BX 906 is a prototype of Cab 20 I think.

Enjoy your legend racket BX 906.

How much does a original old logo first version Carbonex 20 cost? Anyone can estimate the price for this second hand Cab 20.

For those who are interested in getting old Yonex rackets, I have seen the following rackets in Peninsula Shopping Centre, Singapore.

    1. Carbonex Gold
    2. Carbonex 1
    3. Carbonex 3
    4. Carbonex ED

I dont know about the prices but they are in good condition.

My favourite racquet in the early days was an Aerotus 80.

    Also liked the Boron 200

    Expensive doesn't mean "rare"

Rare rackets are hard to find, and they are not necessary expensive.
