Hi, I recently purchased a Yonex Arcsaber 7 online. Ordered the Nanogy95 strung. The string pattern looks different from the norm and I was wondering if anyone can comment on this style. (Notice the "missing" string at the bottom)
It's not the Yonex standard pattern, but it isn't abnormal as some stringers choose to do this method. Doesn't really affect play since you won't hit that low. Why do they do it? 1) Save bottom frame stress if they did top down 2) Save a little time 3) If they do in bulk, maybe they can get another racquet strung if they leave out one cross on every racquet 4) That's thet way they were taught~ Bottom line: You're not the first person to get this pattern.
Don't worry, this is a traditional pattern still used in the Far East - I believe it's called the ProKennex method. The penultimate cross is left out, but it's otherwise the same as the apporved Arc7 pattern. If you happen to hit where the second cross should be...
Thks for your input. No, I'm not worried. Just curious cause I've never seen any like that until now. Played with this racquet twice and I don't seem to tell the difference.
