It just means that someone has forged an email purporting to come from LJB. Email addresses are easy to fake. Check the email headers to see where the actual message were being routed through. See sample below and you can traced the path from the originating email server of the sender to the recipent.
Lee Jae Bok needs help . xt6666... Is Lee Jae Bok a close friend of yours? Before you help, you should meet up with him in person. .
1. I don't know him in person 2. I won't send any money of course... I just wanted to have some comments... I will test the header, at the moment I have problems to see it with my email program... EDIT: Now I have read the complete header, but I still have no clue...
Look just reply: Hi Lee Jae Bok, Your coaching videos are awesome, and now I totally pwned my baddie mates by simply following the fundamentals laid down by you in the videos. Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia? Small potatoes on the badminton scene. They won't know you at all, should you step into, say, Nusa Mahsuri, or any national badminton training centre. Please, I'm !Bilae from South Africa. You're in luck as I have millions to transfer out of the country. But can you spare a small token amount to secure the transaction first? -dave
lolz unless it was seriously legit. maybe a 1% chance, but if it was LOL...maybe he'll repay your kindness with another DVD or in person lessons
There is exactly zero percent chance of it being legit. I have received a similar message before and you can find details about this scam on the net.
But the scammer is stupid... Why does he not tell where I should tranfer the money to?!? *lol* LEt's say there is a 0,0000001% chance that the email is "REAL": So ibbs.tv will never upload new videos! :-( Haha...
Obviously it's fake. I suspect Lee has been the victim of an email worm -- one that sends out messages from his account to everyone on his contact list. Nasty.
We have reports from quite a few Malaysians and Singaporeans about this email. It's clearly a scam. PS: If anyone's facing a problem with having too much money, I'm absolutely willing to receive some or all of it
Lee answered my email... He said he will solve the problem. BTW: I said the new videos will be uploaded THIS WEEK!
how odd is that? oh well, the fact that these types of emails are still going around means there are actually people still falling for them.
or they're trying to invent better sounding emails to ease our souls. there might be some, but i doubt that many fall for them. it honestly cracks me up reading these kinds of emails. this is probably one of the best i've read: Empowering Youth to Fight Racism, HIV/AIDS, Poverty and Lack of Education. or: this email has been in circulation since 1883......
