Interesting reading http://nicholasbonkowsky.blogspot.ca/2015/07/life-of-average-athlete-in-my-shoes.html?m=1
I love when professional athletes take backseat and spend few minutes enlightening people how difficult their live is.Just three months of professional training made me realise how tough how damn freaking tough life was. That made me respect these sportpersons even more. Thanks,Cheung for sharing this.An awesome read to end the day.
Nice blog. Would be nice to see how he actaully makes his money. Parents? Government? Work as a trainer?
I believe he did coach at clear one for a bit :0 not entirely sure though. Met him a couple of times playing badminton Alberta tournaments, and watching Canada open.
Would be at least nice information for the uninitiated readers to write something about the sources of income. Because, let's be realistic: None of the players in Nic's situation make any money from playing international tournaments. All players I know are heavily subsidied by parents, government or have other sources of income. That holds true even for players ranked substantially higher than Nic.
I remember watching his footwork videos, he was impressive. Great read. Compared to tennis players, badminton players get little money. Currently Wimbledon is on and the winners get £1.88 million pounds, ridiculous. Badminton players deserve to get some decent money, I think badminton is more gruelling on the body IMO. Kindest regards, -Ajay- Quote of the Day A man can stand anything except a succession of ordinary days.
Hope he will play next year at YGO. I promise you will get my support regardless who will be your opponent.
