Looking forward to playing in the Games! Here's a short video I made for Team USA
I'm not sure the player list is available elsewhere but incredibly, it's not yet on the Universiade website... Korea and neighbours field top ten players for Universiade Korea, China, and Chinese Taipei have all sent current top ten players for the badminton...

Hi Timothy Hsu, tough match for you in the opening day of Summer Universiade Games, you are playing against Team China. Good job to you buddy!
QUARTERFINAL RESULTS : 1) CHN def. JPN : 3-0 2) THA def. TPE : 3-2, close contest. TPE led earlier with their aces Chou TC and Tai TY then THA swept 3 points through their doubles department 3) MAS def. INA : 3-2 4) KOR def. GER : 3-0 SEMIFINALS : - CHN v THA, 1-0, the tie is still running - MAS v KOR => 0-3 Host KOR has easy path to secure final ticket, gold medal match will be played later on today and meet either CHN or THA.
CHN v THA, 3-1. Thailand stole 1 point, Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk def. Qiao Bin, 21-16 / 16-21 / 21-17. Gold Medal Match : CHN v KOR, scheduled on 06.00pm local time.
Thanks, CLELY, for the updates and links. Didn't expect Hui Xirui to beat Busanan albeit in a very tight two-setter of 22-20 in identical score. Qiao Bin's loss top Tanongsak is while not too surprising still disappointing. I feel he needs more international exposure to speed up his learning process and accumulate experience to develop his game more fully and quickly. Based on the lineup with KOR fielding practically their full force, I believe they have a clear advantage over CHN who sent only their second tier players.
Korea leading China 2-0 and look set to grab gold medal. Korea as host took this tournament very seriously and fielded a top team. India fielded a junior team for exposure. India beat Great Britain 3-2 in L2-Final and finished 9th.
KOREA 1-0 CHINA Kim/Shin vs Zhang/Ou 15-21,21-17,21-7 KOREA 2-0 CHINA Son Wan Ho vs Gao Huan 21-13,21-8 KOREA 3-0 CHINA LYD/KSH VS Zhang/Yilyu 21-19,21-8
Looking at his age (D.O.B. : 17.11.1992), Qiao Bin has same generation with Tian Houwei but rare to see him in international tournaments. The full force KOR against CHN weak squad, definitely 3-0 for home team. Gao Huan was no match to oppose Son Wan Ho also Zhang W/Wang YL v vast experienced Lee YD/Ko SH as well.
