Attacking shots

    hi mates.., i know that the smash and the drop shot are attacking shots in badminton.. But what about the other shots, are they defensives...??

    Clears, Drops, smashes, drives, net tumbles, smash returns, All these shots can be attacking shots. These shots can also be defensive shots (except smash and drops).

    It really depends how they are played and where they are played

    Try not to label a shots as attacking and defensive shots ONLY. Try to think about how they are used.

    Clears can be defensive (very high, gives you time to get back to base position), or they can be attacking (flat, fast, just out of reach of opponent, you get a weak reply to set up the attack).

    Think of it this way, any shot that troubles your opponent to make a poor return is considered an attacking shot.
