I saw a video on YouTube whereby the person hung a shuttle on his home ceiling (not 100% sure as the top part was cut off) for practice.

I thought it would be a good idea for my own practise but I can't figure out how to do it without damaging the shuttle and have the shuttle facing like when it's in the air for hitting.

    Is there a guide somewhere?

Thanks very much in advance! :)

As far as I know, many people use fishing rods to do it.

If he hung it on his ceiling, I think he taped it fishing string or something.

As for the shuttle being damaged, it's not something to worry about. This method is used to improve swinging motion and position so how the shuttle flies doesn't really matter. Just make sure it doesn't fall off the fishing rod.

Thank you orangenetic. I will try the taping it to a fishing string or some other suitable strings that I can find.

Ummm why don't you just use your old badminton string. Next time you break a string, just unwind the string out of your racquet. You would only need one metre and there is usually nine metres of string in your racquet (depending on where it breaks)
    Won't cost you anything.
