General TRAINING CONDITIONS There is only one badminton court on Norfolk Island, which is an adapted wooden basketball surface that is also used as a dance floor. The players must mark out lines using masking tape, which is removed after training, and they cannot perform high serves due to the low ceiling of the building. There is no dedicated sports shop on the island so equipment has to be shipped in, which can take months to deliver.
