I am talking about long-shafted rackets. Correct me if I'm wrong, but at least on the "long" racket I have, the shaft is longer while the handle is shorter.

When I play doubles, I have always choked up on the racket to play the front for fast net play, but with the long racket, I feel like I have to choke up with some of my hand almost off of the grip, to get the same effects. Does anyone else have this problem?

Just hold the racket as high or as low as you want to to play your shots. I personally put grip an inch up the shaft of the racket (above the thumb cap), because I tend to hold the racket quite high when serving and defending in doubles.

Its just a matter of personal preference. Sigit Budiarto used to grip his racket double the length of a regular grip. Who care? It doesn't make a difference!

    Good luck!
