    Hey BC Members,

I already have a few videos made but if there's anything specific you want to see or any questions you want to get answered, please feel free to post here or message me.

I hope these videos will help grow the sport, helping players and coach to get a better look at what goes on in the development of a professional badminton player.

    Thanks

    Derrick

Having watched a lot of badminton training/technique videos over the years, I find that they tend mainly to focus on technique and drills or how to improve your physical performance.

However there seems little in the way of discussing tactics and mentality.

    Examples:

What to do in different situations?
How to adapt to different player styles?
    Where to play your shots?
    How you analyse your opponent(s)?
What should be going through your mind when playing?
What to do if you're playing badly or things aren't going your way?
How to prepare mentally for a game/match?

Etc etc... so many questions! ;)

I think it would be really beneficial to players to get some insight into the thoughts of professional players and advice on what tactics to adopt in different circumstances.

Let me thank you for taking your time and putting in so much effort to help the badminton community!!!

Thank you for your questions! I will definitely take account to all these questions.

My videos will fall under a few categories and will cover drills to do on court, strength/fitness training off court, techniques, mental/strategy for game play, and games to play during training that will focus on improving specific mind sets and skills.

So please help support by subscribing to my YouTube channel (http://www.youtube.com/channel/UCyZzfcwpC1cgX3d_q27u_1A?feature=mhee).

    Thanks!!

It's been a couple of years since these training videos were first announced and I've been checking from time to time to see if there has been any updates. But it seems nothing new has been uploaded in the past two years.

Any one know what's happening with this? It's great having a current national player on the forum giving advice, answers and insights into the game. Hope there will be an update soon! :)

I know the athlete making the videos, I'll let him know about this post so he can respond. He just won gold in the MD event at the PanAM games!
