Ok, importance of socks are underrated as overgrip.

Recently I bought some sport socks that is synthetic + cotton blend and make my foot slide inside the shoes which i'm not use to. All cotton socks don't do that to me. What type of socks do u prefer, all cotton or a synthetic/cotton blend or all synthetic?

Also i saw someone removing his shoes, his socks are so thin. Anyone here like thin socks?

I have two different ways of wearing 1/4 length socks. The first one is one pair of thick cycling socks (synthetic and cotton socks, reinforced with kevlar at toes and heel areas). The second style has two layers; inner layer is thin and made of synthetic and cotton, and outer layer has regular thickness and is cotton.

i use really thin socks, i don't really need the cushion cause my feet dont slide as much in my shoe, their actually pretty tight around my feet

Thick ones like those Champions athletic ankle socks. All those stops and starts in the rallies are bound to skin my feet raw, so a pair of thick socks are a perfect fit to my snug Mizunos.

I used to use cotton socks but i switched about 3 years ago to all Nike Dri-fit branded socks (3 of the pairs i got for free at a Nike 10KM race). About half of my socks are padded at the bottom and the rest are all thin). I believe that my superfeet insoles compensate for the lack of cushioning in my socks..

I don't find my feet to move in the shoe because it's a pretty snug fit.
I remember reading in another post some postive comments about Thorlo socks. I have yet to try them...However if i were to move to thicker socks, i'd probably have to increase my shoe size to compensate.

i use triple socks (yes three pairs of socks) i get really bad blisters when i play and i find that more socks the better. It may be because of my shoes. Im using yonex 98's and they might be a bit to big. but i figure im still growing so they'll fit one day:rolleyes: but does anyone have any other sugestions i could use instead of three pairs of socks, anything would be awsome at this point

    thanx:)

I wear two pairs of thin, 100% cotton socks. Two pairs for cushioning and to minimize callouses. Cotton to minimize the sliping and sliding.

I use champion ankle socks. They are very very thick. For a usual session, one pair is great. Sometimes though, like tournaments, I will wear two, just to stop even the least bit of sliding.

I use Yonex Ergosocks too. Pretty good and affordable compared to the Adidas and Nike ones.

I can't stand cotton anymore. I used to use cotton and I've had to a few times when I've forgotten to bring proper socks. They just get wetter and wetter. I use socks that I get at MEC or Running Room. They say Ironman Triathlon on them but they are too thick for running or cycling. They both cover the ankle and are made of Coolmax or something similar. I get two different thicknesses.

I don't like the dual layer socks. I find they slip.

To play single, I wear one pair of socks because I move faster than wearing two pairs of socks. If I want to save some skin, I will wear two pairs of socks.

I use pairs I got from zellers (100% cotton). and adidas. I love adidas stuffs. I buy them when the price is good (ussually they're expensive and over priced @ sportcheck)

Yeah, I moved faster alright when wearing one pair of socks. Today, my trusty, kevlar-reinforced (at the heel and toes) sock had a hole at its heel section...:crying: Very sad, they were with me for a long time. I shall remember to wear two pairs of socks when doing training. Too late now. About time to visit the MEC again.

    >.< Damn, they used to be around $6 a pair. Now it is CAN$12.
