my sample is 94 gram with bg66ultimax strung and original grip

after i put a very thinly-overlapping thinnest overgrap (0.5mm) i have, it now becomes 96 gram

the original grip size is too big for my usual setup

i'll consider opening the original grip both to make the grip smaller and to drop the weight a little coz right now this thing is too heavy for me

first impression this is stiff (yonex stiff) head heavy unforgiving & faster swing than normal racket

and i don't feel this crispiness you're talking about at all

what string you using visor ?

    Try hitting harder? Or faster?

    What tension you using?

    I'm on 24x26 lbs G-Tone 5 x ZM62Fire

Yeah, this being such a stiff racket, you need to lower your usual tension

i strung it up and man i cannot get along with this racket at all, it is easily the stiffest racket i've ever used and i use the ryuga 1 as my main racket. the inferno raid is an incredibly raw feeling racket and you can feel all the vibration if you miss hit. The power is there but only if you can sufficiently flex the racket during ur swing. I can't so im most likely gonna sell it but i can see why people like it

Too bad. It's a tad stiffer than 88D Pro but I find it easier to generate power not from the shaft but from the frame. Perhaps use more finger power?

yes raw feeling is correct forgot to mention that

free of the 'gimmick' of modern rackets

it's just a straight forward racket whatever that means

I mean, it's a pretty stiff racket, but not beastly crazy stiff like JS10 original, or MX80 original, or ZF2 were.

I played a few games with my Inferno Raid and I don't find it THAT stiff. Auraspeed 90k and Auraspeed Project Black both felt noticeably stiffer. Also the Inferno Raid doesn't really feel head-heavy, it feel closer to even balance. Mine also feels on the lighter end of 3u. The grip is somewhat thick though. Feels like g4.

i think the combo of even balance and aero frame makes it hard for me to generate enough power to flex the shaft whereas the ryuga with a head heavy head and box frame feels noticeably easier to get a whip with

    Hi,
Are you still using the Inferno Raid? I am still using a Ryoga Tenbu, just that it is discontinued. Thus wondering if the Inferno Raid would be a good replacement

Hmmm I don't know about Tenbu, but yes I'm still enjoying the Raid. Also picked up a 4U TKF Enhanced for easier games as it's less stiff

    Ryoga Tenbu.

That's a name I have not heard for quite a long time... my fave among the "Gosen Big 3".
