SwissOpen draw is out. Another good draw for AhsanHendra and Indonesia pairs are all in the same quarter. Li/Liu to meet Liu/Zhang in QF, dont think thats a good draw seeing how mediocre the other QF (5-8 seed is)

Of course, LiuZhang having these kinds of tough draw. Even when they are seeded, every draw is difficult. Now they are not seeded, its even tougher even imo (even GPG doesnt give them luck), they are still the 2nd pair and likelier to go to Olympics than HanZhou.

Though I agree with you about their luck in draws but you are in the wrong thread. Zhang Nan's is about two or three blocks from here.

I havent seen a single steep smash from Ahsan in the entire match....lots of good pushes to midcourt, certainly good at the net, but he didnt really smash a lot and definitely not steeply :D
He really looked like he was taking it easy here. Still pretty convincing.

Kevin hit some bangers, considering his size (and height).

Seemed like Kevin and Ahsan were sharing the workload in that match, usually in drifty halls Kevin gets to be the designated front player when he plays with Marcus. The opponents weren't that threatening, they were playing quite casually in G2 without any certain game plan, I think.

Err.. in AE, yes. Thought you were talking about Swiss Open. It's really hard to follow your line of thoughts you know.

Hmm, at this point, I might have just accept that INA MD always have a bad luck, lol. Doesn't matter. I believe either Fajar/Rian or daddies will win the title.

No I meant, shouldn't you say something about that post belong in different thread?

Of course it doesn't matter because Liu/Zhang will win it :):):p

    That's unfair for the baby.
What if he grew up wanting to be something else and not really interested or not good in badminton?
Seriously, what a selfish wish on his part.

Oh, you mean that. Well, since minions don't play in Swiss Open, I think the discussion about Swiss Open is irrelevant here.

Really? Most parents want their children to become their successors. Nothing wrong with his wish. What's more important is how he will react if his son chooses the other path. As long as it isn't done with forceful ways, it is okay. He did say that he will introduce the badminton world to his son bit by bit, meaning no rush.

Haha well you told off another member of posting some information here.

    Successors or heir are different.
There is nothing wrong with his wish, but he doesn't think how the son would grow up bearing the name or expectation. The son could grow up hating his own name and the pressure coming with it. And if he can't live up to the expectation (seriously WR1 and record breaker etc?) what do you think the society would say of him?
I don't know, I guess I can just wish the son all the best.

I think it depends on what the society the son lives. It doesn't matter if a child bear the father's exact name or not. Once the child is exposed and revealed as the child of the great player, the expectation will come to the child. If his son ends up as "common people", I think his son will be fine.

Haha having exactly the same name and being announced publicly just after he was born, of course he is already exposed. Unless he lives somewhere where the people never heard of badminton.
Still I personally think it's rather selfish and egoistic of parents to give their names to their children and expect them to grow up to be like them or better.

Well, it is only exposed to the badminton fans, haha. Let's see how Marcus will develop as a father.

It's still about Marcus. And if you look from this thread's name. The son is also Marcus Fernaldi Gideon though he is not Kevin's partner.:rolleyes:
Just complain directly to the one who questioned your post.
