erm...not quite sure. I have had 2x 3hour club nights so far with it. The first night it was good, i was not blown away. The only real difference (to BG80) that i could notice was the sound, even other club players asked what string i was using. The second night is was crap. Every defensive lift/clear was short, smashes were weak, and i just couldnt dial it in.

Really confused about what happened on that 2nd night, i may just have had an off day but i didnt feel like i was. I usually know when i have a bad day as i dont hit the sweetspot or get the shuttle early enough but these things were not a problem. I really just want to blame the string 100%.

so after these two sessions, my overall feeling is maybe this string is not for me. I will give it a few more sessions before making any drastic decisions. But as of right now, nothing can touch BG80 for me. The only other string i am keen on trying is Aerosonic, which i have just had put on my Jetspeed 12 and am using this tonight.

it is a shame because so many people on this thread say they loved it, and i was hoping i would get the same feeling. Just goes to show you dont know what works for you until you try it for yourself.

Did you not correct the string (after they've moved) and put on a stencil on it?

This was pretty unusable for me without a stencil.

I had to correct the string after every rally, and i dont recall a stencil on them. Do you really think not having a stencil will affect the strings that much?

It was unplayable for me without a good stencil.

yes there was/is a stencil on it. I also got my stringer to reapply a stencil and still i couldnt get on with the string. its a shame really. Since my last post i also managed to try Aerosonic and prefer that a lot more. Only negative comment for aerosonic is in some shots the shuttles feels like its sliding off the racket head rather then bouncing off. Other than than, if i choose a thin gauge going forward i will choose aerosonic over 62Fire

That's a real shame but completely understandable as not everyone will like everything. Oh and I would choose Aerosonic as well over everything but it doesn't really last very long past 32 :p.

This solved that and had the best tension retention I have ever seen so I fell for it really quickly.

Have aerosonic on my JS12 for 3 weeks now, and still going strong, albeit my max is 25/26lbs. Did try 28lbs once and nearly snapped my wrist in half!

    Lucky. Mine snaps everyday.

62 fire lasts more than a week which is insane durability basically.

The feel isn't as good as I'd want. Much prefer R4x110 / Li Ning No.1 or BG80

Control is always near perfect when it's this high or even a bit below so there's nothing really to add there tbh. 62f didn't seem to lose power despite me pulling it higher. The power however was still quite short of No.1.

Thanks ... Good to know - I was also thinking of doing a hybrid with the 62F and the N1 would you think that would work ?

Dear all, have been a great supporter for 66Um, BG 80, 80P and LN No. 1. Consideting to give ZM62F a try. Is it still good in 2018?
