Hi.. lol i didn’t mean that AX99 can help her won the game. I’m just surprised because a female player can adapt to the weight of an AX99 in singles game without affecting her performance.
The way how you commented was putting the AX99 in the spotlight as the key, but it was actually the unforced errors. But agreed on the adaptation of Zhang Bei Wen. I wonder which racket was her main before the AX99? if it was a HH racket the transition should be remarkably smoother then others. I noticed also she missed some smashes......due to the new racket?
She's also a freaking giant haha They seem to favor moderately head heavy models, AX77 and before that VT70 among others
That's true but I mean, isn't AY using zf2 as well? I seem to recall seeing her using a matte black racquet recently. Anyways, I think it shouldn't be an issue for professionals really, just a matter of preference.
AY, Akane Yamaguchi? She is using an AX77 Yeah for ZB to be using the AX99 is quite surprising! I was here to comment on this but you guys beat me to it. Still mixed reviews on this racket it would seem
Well even for professionals I believe rackets would matter to certain extent . I am not saying that they won't be effective with random rackets but they would certainly like to have rackets having certain characteristics. I still recall Lin Dan breaking his z strike after his loss in a match. He has been with ZF2 and LCW with ZF1 for ages so certainly , even for pros, rackets and their characteristics matter.
i have played with both 88D and 99 both in 4u smash winners and clears: A99 better and easier, 88D can be lacking in smashes sometimes, i feel u have to time the 88D perfectly to perform a great smash drives front court: 88D lighter head and faster at everything else, might be a timing thing with A99 need to play with it more rear court drops: A99 had a better feel and with flex/shuttle hold feeling A99 just feels a bit sluggish sometimes when you're at the net. the 88D is soo fast i can get alot of shots back. but A99 4u isnt that heavy i think its a timing thing i feel i can get used to it and be just as effective as i am with the A88D at the net.
You're right. For some reason I thought she was using a matte black racquet.. but yeah, i think regarding the 99, there's definitely variations in it and if you get the right one it'll feel amazing.
I'm deciding between AX99 3u or 4u depending on the weight... Wouldn't mind the 3u if the weight is < 87g, or 4u > 82g
No mate, I haven't yet. My friend's plan has been shifted to October mid so waiting for him to arrive.
I've tested the ax99 out for three days (about 15 hours playtime), my friend only tested it for an hour, and without telling him how I felt about the racket, somehow we came up with the same opinion. That is, my ax99 is very dull, especially with the orange side up?! My ax99 is also slower and more 'sledgehammer-like' compared to his. Looks like I got one of those poor quality control ax99 4U that other reviewers were talking about. Oh well, I guess it's cherry picking time!
Phew... My 1 month research finally paid off. Moves from 4u 88d to 99 4u. Oh man..loved it! Somehow it just all comes together even though feels heavier than 88d when simply holding it. But in the play I didnt feel any of that extra weight. Thanks everyone for the feedbacks!!
