Organize a match between these two members and Cheung be the umpire. Make sure no time wasting, no lifting of hand to indicate not ready, no walking around the court. And pcl99 be the tournament referee to oversee no fake injuries. Either BadCentral or I will pay for all the expenditure.
Truly enjoyed Dubai WS, MS, MD. THANKS to all the seasoned forumers here for their indepth inputs. It really helps to appreciate the game better. Sent from my VIE-L29 using Tapatalk
The standard of empires this competition is so sub standard. Too many bad calls. Like the CTC match vs Axelsen. The main empire forgot to read the rule book. And yesterday... Even though lcw was never going to beat Axelsen on the final set... This last point...
Can't agree more with that last point It is 85% a fault....... VA has put his racket in stagnant position before LCW hit the shuts... And that service fault call at the very crucial point of 16-11 at last game is also very questionable while LCW was supposed to win the point if the game continued....
C’mon, please. PVS played a 90mins game even when she was ill, blowing her nose regularly. You call that lack of stamina Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
As far as I understand, if VA's block did not interfere with the opponent's stroke, e.g. if LCW is not prevented from making the shot that may hit VA's racket for example, it is a valid block. With VA in front, facing him, LCW could do a cross court away from VA.
ZhangNan is good but MenDouble vs MixDouble? seriously? Different level of intesities. 3/4XD titles maybe you can win 1MD.
I am not aware of any illness. But she started doing the "ostrich" early in the match; I think it was already early in G2. And she did the same in the WC final against NO. That I call lack of stamina. I like her playstyle and her personality. All I am saying is that she has more to gain from improving her stamina than many others. Others in here still think that VA has stamina issues; a player who invites LCW to a physical match in three games.. and wins. This is just my opinion.
Exactly this. I think if LCW had hit the shuttle higher, closer to VA's racket, the umpire would have had to call fault on VA. I think the service faults on LCW were way more questionable.
Exactly! This is what's unclear to me about this rule. Given the scenario that may opponent has his racket up by the net, can I just make a shot that makes our rackets clash to automatically get a point??
A fault or not, it is debatable.. Somehow VA can retrieve impossibe shot like when it was 5-4 at the 3rd. That ,,, in itself kinda win the match for him, imo. LCW was down after that because the great LCW will never be done like that if he is destined to win yesterday match or during his younger days. But i guess 90% it wont change the outcome of the match between VA vs LCW.
You hit the shuttle on your own side of the net and in the same stroke his racket. Rules state point in your favour.
If you hit your opponent's racket, it is a fault on you, assuming your racket had crossed the net on the opponent's side. If your shuttle hit his racket it is okay and you may even score a point if your opponent could not return the shuttle. With the opponent just standing in front of you, you should avoid hitting him. For example you could cross the shuttle instead. If you hit direct at your opponent he could just block to save the point just like what VA did.
