Don't know. Her Cantonese accent was pretty good so probably yes (or spent many years in a Cantonese household).
Yeah, only SS. Still a title though, didn't look to me that Chen Long didn't want to win today. If you compare titles won in 2016 and 2017, LCW has clearly the upper hand, having won 7 titles, three times runner-up. Chen Long only 3 titles. Impressive from LCW, who is way beyond his prime. Chen Long should be winning more, why isn't he? If you want to put things into perspective, you should look at the bigger picture, not just the majors and the past.
Nothing to do with Chen Long. You should try and convince LCW to "look at the bigger picture, not just the majors and the past." Obviously, he doesn't agree with you, that's why he's still chasing that elusive gold.
You keep bringing up that point like it's going to change my mind or something, but I have the right to have an opinion that differs from LCW's, no? I don't care about the tournament that much, just the performance, so I value players that consistently are able to produce the goods rather than only come big at the majors or selected tournaments. LCW for example or past LD. They have won most tournaments back in their prime, but as they get older it's not Chen Long who has the upper hand, but different players winning. He is not as dominating as the two maestros, that's what I'm saying. I mean, have a look at the "The Minions" in the doubles discipline. They won 6 SS(P) tournaments this year, but not the WC. So? I guess they are pretty satisfied with their performance.
Maybe they have better things to do? We should look up some of these members and pay them a visit if possible, although they may live overseas. During the recent Indonesia Open, I saw Hauge {Rudy} on TV as one of spokesmen for BNI, I think.
I have met up with both nokh88 and Cheung, at their locations, not in Singapore. Of course, I have met up with many other members, mostly at tournaments held here and elsewhere, Few of them are still around here.
If ChenLong are truly that great after or because of winning WC14,15 or Olympics then he should have more titles but he won nothing till last week (+ the redundant asia championship hold in China) To me, Its just 3 titles, You still have to play and win from zero (1st Round) in SS which gives you prize money. To ChenLong, actually i dont know if this three titles give him more money than anything in China?A champion will not get lazy and he should be at his peak. Not winning SS in 2016 & 1 2017 only means he is not a better player than LCW.
Simple mystery for me since a long time, “how old are you @Justin L?“ Cause your opinion perspective and your posts almost 40K. How you can do it? For Nine Tailed, im sure you are a teenager
2k7: Xie Xingfang won 5ss (Ss Finals was cancelled that year) 2k9: wang y: 5ss 2k11: wang y: 5ss+Asia Championships+wc 2k12: xuerui: 5ss+Asia Championships+olympic 2k15: marin: 5ss+wc 2k17: tai: 5ss+Asia Championships (hasnt played ss finals yet)
i just saw an instagram post of Greysia/Apriani and Cqc/Jia at the podium. The indonesian pair is so so cute. They fought a good fight and lost with a smile on their faces. I wish them a long sucessful career. I like Greysia sportmanship, really make the podium and her opponents light up. So so much respect at the moment
